First off, I want to say that I don't go swimming much, and I've never been to a beach before. I probably shouldn't even have entered a drawing contest ^.^; I'm not that good at it. Plus, there are a lot of other outstanding entries that are better than mine. Still, I figured what the heck. There are a couple of different parts to my entry. A Background, an outfit, and a held item. I'm including the individual parts as well as the overall entry. >.> my Katerings can be a little complicated to fix, especially my sleepy ones.
This is my Heartful Picnic Sunbather and Katering Raindrop Spoon
The base of the spoon is my Sleepy Whisker Katering
The outfit is my Heartful Sunbather
The background is my Umbrella Beach Picnic Blanket
The Held Item (Even though the bracelet got caught in the image too) is my Sleepy Katering Raindrop Spoon.
I don't know if any of it is even interesting, but this is my two cents. Enjoy. Incidentally, if you zoom in to about 400%, you'll see the picnic blanket's actual design <3

This was Inspired by the Summer Festival held in Japan. It was rather fun creating each yukata pattern and dango color, plus, during this little project I even got to try out my new method of drawing a glaze on something~ I don't really have any other motive, but I suppose these designs might add a little more variety? I think I have yet to see cranes and or koi on an outfit, so there's the possibility of that. As well as the possibility of dango.
I believe my post is now done, so, yaay.

The outfit and Head piece are based on a sea anemone
The held is suppose to be a conch shell with bubbles coming out

Lemonade Maid
The otufit is supposed to be a poofy tutu-like short dress with lemon-themed decorations (which were too small to include lol). The skirt is supposed to be decorated like a lemon slice. The top is cropped, but there is sheer fishnet on the stomach. The background is a garden-style table with lemonade sitting on top lol.

Star Guide As Summer is a great season for stargazing and many interesting constellations can be found in the sky, the Star Guide is here to help you find them all.
The names I used for the four colour variations are the names of the four great stars: Polaris, Vega, Canopus, and Sirius. These four, out of the stars of the summer sky, have the greatest magnitudes.
Head: Star Guide's Crown (Polaris) Since I used the male base here, the hair is short. For female the hair can be longer. Or, no hair and just the crown.
Held: Star Guide's Guiding Light (Polaris)
Outfit: Star Guide's Robes (Polaris)
Wings: Star Guide's Wings (Polaris)
Back: Star Dust (Polaris) or Nebula Clouds (Polaris)

Thanks For doing this Krin and Fai! Even if it is short notice >.< But I had a new Idea! So I love going to Aquariums and looking at the stars in the summertime so I decided to combine the two! To be honest I thought it was gonna look stupid but I'm kinda proud of this one ^^ even If I went a bit overboard with sparkly effects XP

(Milkyway Shores) Set
I wanted to try to make the outfit so that each Piece can stand on its own even with other outfits. Even though my poor shading Hides the hair a bit.. But our Artists are great, so I know they can do so so so much better XD.

So the hair is fairly simple with little frilly fabric clips on each side though I almost made it do a simi circle as if it was underwater, but I'm not that talented so this was the best I could do hehe.

So I really seem to like the outfits with no/little shoes so I did like a gypsy foot jewelry that matched the hairpins! and I tried to make the back skirt overlap the legs in a couple places, but I still don't know how I feel about that *is forever indecisive* :/

They Turned out a little Butterfly-ish.....But the yellow color was supposed to Be a matching piece to the hair pins But They still turned out cute and delicate ^^

Hello everyone! We will be holding design contests for the 2018 Summer Festival (Coming in August)! Please make sure to read the rules carefully!
Rules
1. Design an Avatar Outfit for the Summer Festival. Please use the following bases to draw your avatar items on.
Male Avatar Base
Female Avatar Base
The following can be included all in one entry for avatars:
1 Avatar Outfit
1 Avatar Wings
1 Avatar Back Item
1 Avatar Held Item
1 Avatar Head Item
2. You must draw the items on the avatar base. In case your drawing skills aren't great then along with your drawing you can include a description to better help us envision your avatar items. If you are unable to draw something, then I am sorry, there will be no exceptions.
3. Avatar Items submitted must be Summer Themed. So anything to do with the summer season, this includes any holidays that fall in the summer season, summer weather etc.
4. Please do not reserve posts. If you reserve a post I will delete your post.
5. Before submitting your entry please make sure to scan the thread to see if someone else has done something similar. Try to make your entry unique and if someone has already done something that you were wanting to do...then I highly suggest you pick something different. If you feel someone has "copied" your design, do not say anything to that person - especially in this thread.
6. You may only submit ONE official entry. If you wish to submit more then you can send me a PM with drawings of your avatar item ideas. However all PMed entries that are sent to me will not count for prizes.
7. The end date is July 15th at 11:59 PM server, after that the thread will be locked. Yes. This is a very short deadline. Some circumstances have come up which have forced us to get these started ASAP. Having such a short duration is the only way we could have the design contest at all. Sorry!

I am very aware that it's typical to use google to search for ideas when designing things. However, it is extremely important that if someone happens to be referencing another person's artwork, it should not be possible to google it and find exactly what was used as reference.Please make sure to change it enough and be creative enough that you're making it your own design. This is extremely important not just for ethical reasons but also for legal reasons when we're implementing something onto our site. Thank you! :)

All entries that are picked will have their avatar items created and be given one free copy of the submitted items. Everyone that participates will also receive a participation prize.
Don't comment on someone's entry unless you have something nice to say. If someone copies your entry then have faith in us that we will determine the correct winner. Please do not fight over entries, if I see anyone doing this in the thread then whoever is fighting will be disqualified.
A Penguin probably doesn't count as Summer time, but would it still be ok in my entry?
