Here is my design, it's called the sunflower necklace, there's a vine that wraps around the character's neck, I've set a moderate mature content filter on it because I didn't put anything else on it, so I think you should be able to see it without logging in, you can see it here: Sylestia avatar item design
This was done on my tablet's drawing app known as Artflow, so I think it should look nice.(I'm not that good at drawing flowers, sorry about that!)

Here is my entry to this Summer Festival contest. These designs are based on the Swan Constellation Cygnus, which can only be seen (at least in North America) in the summer.

The wings and feathers on the circlet are supposed to be as close to white as possible to represent the white feathers of a swan.

The handheld item is an orb with the constellation inside of it. Cygnus is also in the night sky background behind the avatar.

Also, the shoes for the female avatar and the male avatar are different in my designs, but they don't have to be. I just did it because I felt like the closed toed sandals/boots would look cool on the male base.

My design is based on Rain Dancers. In many cultures rain dancers are people who dance to call the rain during dry summers. They were thought to be able to summon storms and help summer droughts end. The outfit set is going to be mostly based on Native American Rain Dancers.

Head:
Tribal Feathers/Rain Dancer's Crown
The head item is based on Native American feathered crowns. The feathers are multi colored, and i tried my best to draw them but to say the least they are not the best. I do think they get the idea across very well though.


Held:
Rain Dancer's Staff/Diving Staff
The staff is rune covered, with a glowing ball that emits light in the middle of it. This staff is based on things Native Americans would use in their ceremonies to call the rains.


Outfit:
Rain Dancer's Attire/Rain Dancer's Dress
This outfit is based on a combination of many Native American Rain Dancer's outfits. I tried to draw from several different attires to create this complete outfit.


Back:
Swirling Clouds/Roiling Storms/Coming Storms
The clouds are swirling like that kinda but more dark and angry, signing the coming storm.
The scenery itself is based on the grand canyon esque land.

Do you think the avatar items on one post have to go together, since everyone else's is like that?
I hope no one thinks the hedgehog and the background go together...

I don't think the theme has to go together just the actual examples need to be in one post I think
