Zarune~ 29 years old~ RG

The moment seemed to last a life time, an whole eternity even. Her embrace was warm, enough to ease away the pain that inched its way from the wound on his shoulder, enough so that he forgot the chill that the wind was giving him. This-this was what love felt like. Warm, that was the only human word he could find to explain the feeling that he felt. Warmth and connection. The woman was the first to pull ways when she noticed the young man walking up to them. Her cheek was suddenly flush with color as was the priests. All he longed was for a taste of those lips again, for that warmth to return. Sadly though when the man meant jones the fact that Zarune was the on he was searching for the priest let out a slow sigh. Yes? He said clearing his throat some in doing so. With that he stood to face the young man. They really did join the military early didn't they? This boy didn't seem to be an experienced man let alone a man of war. He was barely out of childhood and already he was being trained to fight, to kill. I am that yes. All he wanted was to turn and ask Molly why, why she had done that or was it that he wanted her to do so again? They had only just met the day before though it felt right. In the events of those two days they had grown to know each other more than most friends knew each other in a lifetime. It seemed almost too good to be true.

Ruairi~23 years~DC

And I can understand that. The bard said looking across at her. She liked his voice really? That was almost unbelievable really, to him he sounded like everyone else save for a slight slurr he had to put on some words to say them like the others. Oh how he wished to speak normally though it was difficult for the woman to understand since she had never heard his speaking before. Don't bluff, I speak like most everyone else. I may be from another place but I'm no different than any other human save for that my voice sounds different and I've seen a bit more. He was denying it again! How many times was he going to deny that he was no different than everyone else when clearly he was? The scars on his arms proved that, he had something that had allowed him to survive when everyone else died. Thus at this he looked down at his covered arms and traced each line slowly with a hand. Ten straight lines proved he was no like the others. Ten raised pale lines told him apart from those he was surrounded by. Those lines made him as different as they were from each other. That was the proof he needed to press on. Right well then we very well can stay here all night in the cold can we? We need to get the guards from the town to help. Gazing across the tree line he judged the distance. It would be a run, a close one at that. One mistake and he was dead. Taking a breath he looked over at the woman before smiling at her. What ever happens promise not to tell what I ha e told you here alright? I'd rather my name not be put with another land. With that he dropped from the tree. God he was an idiot! Sure they were fairly close to the ground, but still it was quite a drop for one to make! The ground raced up to met him and Shasha dug into his shoulder as she retreated into his arms. This had not been the first time the man had done something questionable like this though this was a first for him. Little did she know that he chose one of the animals as a point of landing. Still the empact hurt, like ramming into a rock wall at full force hurt though the animal broke his landed enough that he hadn't broken his legs. With a yelp the wolf fell to the ground under the man though by the time it had gotten up Ruairi was racing towards the town as fast as he legs could carry him. The town was just ahead, he could see the guards standing just outside of it as he raced towards them tailed by the wolves. Clearly both of the men looked shocked as they drew their swords against the animals. That was when the bard tripped. Sasha helped as she was thrown from his arms hitting the ground not far from the winded man. The wolves were on him the instant he fell tearing his clothes with their snapping teeth. Desperate to save himself the man covered his head with his hands. So this was where it ended and how? To be tear about by wolves a few feet from town! Though the yelps of the wolves told other wise as the leader was hit in the head with the mace the guard carried. Carefully the two men drove back the animals taking but two of their numbers.
Damn wolves getting braver each day. On of the men said offering the bard a hand to help him up. You alright I hope.
Fine now thanks to you two. Ruairi smiled remembering the woman he had left behind. Agrona! I left her in the tree to draw the wolves away! He said pretending to be shocked.
It's alright, we'll follow you to her alright? Don't want to end up with more bodies to bury. Smirking the bard led them to the tree where he left the woman.

Amsden of the Sapling ~ King ~ 65 ~ Currently in: RG
"Well your holiness, his highness the king wished for me to fetch you and escort you to his chambers" he said politely. He had simply been given the job because he was the first one the king saw as he opend his door. In all honesty he wanted nothing to do with it any more than needed so if he could he would just toss the priest into the chaimber and get back to his job. The young boy had heard way to many stories of people losing their heads simply because they failed to do it quick enough. He had been here since he was 8, training in the army and was still terrified of the old ruler.

"Trust me if you want or distrust me if you wish. But I do enjoy your voice, it have something warm, something soft and comforting It makes me feel safe" she smiled at him with a somewhat pale face. She could feel it. When was the last time she got sick? Probably the same year she joined the temple. Her mind slowly went duller and duller by the moment, her body heavier and heavier. Oh dear gods, is she relly going sick and not a herb in sight to help her get better. Tiredly she blinked slowly before looking at him. He seemed to trace something that was hidden under the tunic he was wearing. Her head was slowly making her slower and slower so she didnt realice that he had jumped down untill the man had rushed about 20meters or so. Shocked by his act she turned around on the branch, looking after him with anxious eyes. How ... is he stupied?! Sure that the mans fate was sealed he crawled into a ball, shivering as her lips turned blue. Right now she could almost feel the pressence of her godess as she begun to gaze in the direction of Agrona. She knew this feeling since she was but a little girl. At one point in her education at the temple she had been brought to the brink of death to simply just experience the pressence of the godess that protects her. That had been the first time she had seen the silvermasked godess. The only time she had seen her so clearly, any other time sh had seen the godess she had been nothing but a black mist infront of her inner eye. She was so tired and cold once the guards came to the tree, followed of Ruari that she didnt even notice the three men aproaching her.

"I would sugest as soon as possible my lord" the captain of the small escort said as he follwed the young lord to his animal. His eyes looked at the young boy before glancing at the guards. As he saw their faces, hiding the discomfort of having to escrt the young lord to the best of their abilities he smiled in a comfoting manner. He understands them compleatly. Its a bit scary having to escort the young lord as he holds their lives in his hands. And considering his history the young boy will have to work hard to regain their trust in him. But then again, they will have several months to travel to the kings castle.

Aris

"Then saddle up the horses and get ready. I want to make it before a year passes." Aris said truthfully not having to force himself to say the words. He went to his horse. He looked at the guard but turned back to his horse. The guard helped him saddle up his horse though she did it in distaste and not to get attacked with insults. She then went to get her own horse ready. Aris mounted his horse carefully. The girl guard got her horse ready and gave it a bit of water. Then she jumped onto her horse which reared up slightly then relaxed. It side stepped slightly. It had been with the guard since it was a foal. No one had seen the guard without a helmet except for her family. She had sworn that any males who approached her would be treated like a knight nothing more. Even though she wanted a family she was more loyal to the nobles. Even if it meant taking Aris to the king.

Zarune~ 29 years old~ RG

At that moment the priest's deminer changed from a high standing to that of a scared boy. The king wished to speak to him? Really? God this was the end! And just when he found the one he wished to spend his life with! But he said nothing to the boy as he pushed past him, eager to get his death out of the way. Zarune knew well that he had messed up, he even beat himself up for having done something so stupid but there was no way he could make time go back not now. He should have used his head then not now. No now was to late to try and save himself what has been done is done. This is written in time now, there was no taking it back. From here you could only go forward, press on against the punishment you have earned. The grand hall of the castle stretched before him though he paid it no mind as he walked towards what could only be his demise. What could the old man really have to say? That he had done wrong, that he was doomed to hang for his crimes? The priest had already accepted his death so why would this be different? What was he so afraid of? And if he didn't die then he had a life waiting for him outside of the room, just beyond the walls of the castle. With a new outlook on life the man quickened his pace and continued along his track. The large door loomed before him like a bad omen waiting to strike, keeping him from the king himself. Beyond that foot stood his fate, either it be life or death. A shaking hand was laid upon the doors handle. He could do this, Finn was on his side. Taking a breath the priest pushed open the door laying fate take its course.

Ruairi~23 years~DC

Neither of the guards even offered to climb up the tree to retrieve the woman thus the job was left up to the man. Setting the lute aside along with Sasha, whom showed her complete disobedience by snapping at him through bared teeth, the bard slowly made his way up towards the woman that was surprisingly in the same spot that he had left her in. Upon arriving he could tell though that she was not okay in the slightest. Her whole complexion was paler than it had been even when he had first found her in the wood, so much so that her lips were blue in color. This panicked the bard as he carefully picked the woman up and threw her over his shoulder in order to carry her down. "Hang in there Agrona, don't give up on this world yet." He whispered to her before climbing down. One of the guards, the one with the mace took the woman from him as soon as he reached the ground.
"She needs a herbalist..." The guard said under his breath. He carefully weight the woman in his arms before looking at the bard. "I'm sorry there is nothing we can do."
"And how come?! This is a town no, you have a herbalist no?!" Ruairi nearly yelled though the guard placed a hand over his mouth to stop him. Angry the bard pushed the hand away.
"Keep it down, you don't want to have to fight the wolves again do you?" The guards eyes were seemingly on fire as he glared at the bard, clearly he had a lot of experience for his age. He couldn't have been over fifty, but that still gave him a lot of time to learn a lot of things. How he was still working was a mystery. The bard nodded slowly after a moment. "Then keep it down. Now we do have a herbalist but he is away on a trip up north to help with a child. He wont be back for a few days. Till then you can stay in him home and await his return. I know a bit of the art but I wont be of much help if she gets any worse. Now if you will follow me." With that they started back to the town.

The moment that the door opend wihtout as much as a knock his hand instinctivly grabbed the sword that rested by his side. The impressive sword is a massive twohand sword, its handle coverd in gold and the crossguard having delicate carvings that woud make any boacksmith green of envy from the delicate work done to the sword. The iron used for the bladde is the finest the country could possibly produce as well as infused with both fire and water magic to help him in battle. In his youth he had been able to easly swing it with one hand despite its weight and twohanded dessigne. But now, if he was ti wield the massive sword rather than the onehanded at his hip he would have to use both hands. But once he saw who the one that enterd the room was he let go of the sword while still keeping his eyes on the priest. "I asume you know why you have been summoned here." he said calmly, staring at the priest with cold, nervchilling eyes.

She didnt notice as he grabed her, but she did notice as she was thorwn over his shoulder. With a whine she slowly opend her eyes trying to look around herself but failed to. She was then awoke enough for hear them say she needed a herbalist. In her mind she was rolling her eyes, SHE is a herbalist. She is most likely one of the best in the country, beeing able to turn poisions to remedies or turning remedies to poisons with ease and without any trouble at all. There would be no cold that could kill her if she had the herbs she wanted by her side. But now? She wasnt that lucky. It had taken some time but as she was held in the arms of the guard she could feel the warmth of the man holding her so she got a lose, shaking grip of the tunic. It was warm, somthing warm and nice. Something comforting she could cling to in the world that feelt coolder than the harshest of snowstorms during winter.

He walked last of the group, keeping a wake eye out for the wolves. His eyes then went to the older guard holding the young woman. Hmm, she is really nice looking but honestly he couldnt wrap it around his head how or why he got her to tag alongside him on the road. The only way he could imagine a woman tagging along a bard of all things on the road would be that she was knocked up. And probably out of wedding as well so he couldnt help but frown a bit at the bck of both the bard and the woman. Well its not unheard of mercenaries, traveling bards and merchants charmed their ways into the arms, and bed, of a woman only to leave her with a ****** to raise on her own.

Yes sir" he said with a nod before he went to get the animals ready. After a quick inspection of the other guards he looked at the young lord. With that he rode up to the guards and corrected them a bit. Once done he took his place at the lords side. "We are done sire" he said while a smile and bowed poitely. "Well, if we are to reach the kings castle before a year have passed then we cant go to the temples, so wich way do you wich to go?" he asked calmly as they followed the road.

Aris

"We will head to the castle. We can stop and ask for the goddess's blessing along the way." Aris said. He looked at the guard. He had done his saddle slightly wrong. He hadn't adjusted it. Was it even a he? What a girl was along with them? He didn't care. He started riding off at a good pace. He didn't look back. He didn't want to look back. What if he was caught? What was out here? He didn't want to know.

The servant went up with food for Emont's mother. She had asked for food to come to her. The servant didn't question it. For he was not supposed to. He entered the chambers. He looked for Emont's mother. He found her in bed. He gave her the food. He bowed. "May I leave?" He asked kindly.

Damn it. How could he have forgotten something as silos as that?! He was in the presence of royalty and he forgot to announce his arrival! Maybe it was better for the man to send the sword piercing through the priest's gullet for this forgetfulness that he showed but a last the pain from this fatal blow never came. It was the man's own fault that he had looked last this, alas it wasn't everyday he saw royalty nor every few days. The fact was that he let it slip his mind that he was no longer In the temple where only Finn was bowed down to. Thus with this he took to a knee, a fester that he had only thought of showing to Molly. To take an arrow in the knee as they say. But this was different, an act of respect for a leader not a marriage proposal. "I believe I do know but to make clear please debrief me my lord." He said keeping his head pointed down to the ground.

Ruairi~23 years~DC

What a strange couple, but it was not his business to be noisy in someone else's personal accords. In silence they made their way back towards the town, none of the men speaking aloud though the bard seemed to muttering under his breath though it was to low to make out. They passed through the gates before the older of the guards spoke. "The instrument, your a bard no?"
"Aye, I am yes." Ruairi answered patting Sasha from where she was clasped in his arms now. She seemed very irritated now after all that had happened though that didn't keep her from sleeping still.
"And ye be working in the inn tonight no? I heard that there would be a bard there tonight, planned on going for a drink later myself." The guard said with a slight snort. They would be lucky if this bard was half as good as the last one, and the man before had no musical abilities. This town needed some good music, some inspiration to keep on in life. They would be lucky if this man brought that to them.
"Word spreads fast. I am he yes though I may play a bit late due to this." He had almost forgot about having to play! Well then he would just have to improvise then. As soon as Agroan was settled he would go get a drink then preform, earn a few gold then make sure she was alright before settling in for the night. The guard before him led them towards a old looking shack before pushing the door in. The place smelled of herbs both fragrant and not. All in all it was rather pleasant. The older man lay Agrona upon the table before setting to work in glancing over all the herbs. He never batted an eye as he chose a few leaves here and there before crushing them and adding them to the water that had been warming by the fire already. Carefully he offered it to the woman. The bard watched fascinated as the man worked upon the woman. He seemed to know right well what he was doing. The bandage about her arm was removed, water poured upon the wound, herbs placed, then a new bandage replaced before the guard turned away.
"That's about all I can do, though it's better than nothing." He announced.
"You seem to know what you are doing, and for that I thank you. Tell you what, if your friend here will watch the door I'll buy ye both drinks, how about that?" Though it really wasn't a question, either way he would have to go to the bar, thus he started that way followed by the older guard.
"You don't have to do that, it's our job to protect the town." The guard said once they entered the bar.
"But I feel it is my job to thank you in any way I can." Ruairi said nodding to the bar tender as he took his place near the bar. Sasha was again set aside as the lite was pulled forward. The instrument was strummed then silencing the crowd. The melody the lute played was peaceful yet it had a rather sad sound to it, the song it's self was one he had heard coming across the land to this place. Each note seemed to hung in the thick air before slowly drifting away into nothingness. This went on for a time before he started.https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=PUogMFPlToQ music link
" There is a lost of the lost, a land far away.
With hills and vast meadows were green grass did sway.
It's still in my heart, it longs to be there.
If only-I could return." He stopped then playing the tune on though no words would come to him as he did. Towards what could be called the end of the song was when he sung again.
"If only-if only-if only-if only I could ever see it again..." The tune died away as the man lowered in a slight bow. The room was quiet for a moment before applauding and going back to their business.

The old man glared at the priest as he kneeled before him. His iceblue eyes rested on the man infront of him a while before he smirked a bit. He is basicly a moving corpse and yet he finds the courage to talk in sucha manner to him? Impressive to say the least. "I have gotten a report from one of my officers ..." he started as he picked up a parchment, holding it firmly in his old hand. "not only did you take my son out of the castle without my consent, you also used magic on a other officer. I take it you understand that you will stand by Molly tomorrow as you both will be standing before court" he said in calm, eary tone that the skin crawl on even the most hardend of men. There is many tales of the kings crule tendancies. And the court tomorrow is nothing but a sharade, something of a show that already have the ending written to the dismay of most actors in it. If they are lucky, they will hang as simple theives and criminals. If unlucky, well, the crankwheel is a option he is rather found of. But then again, boiling them alive is also rather effective to make examples.

The woman desperatly clinged to her consiousness, trying to stay aware of what happend and was said around her but to no use. She couldnt make out a single word said, not a single movement done. All she knew was that the one carrying her was warm, warm but with a rather faul smell to be honest. It was a rather masculine odor that was sure but it was so strong it was almst nausiating is she was to be honest. But the moment that the door to the herbalists cavbin was broken open her nose went on full allert. Herbs, this smell she knew as well as the faul smell from the man carrying her. Herbs, a lot of them as well to get this smell. But they had also been here for loonger than she had wanderd the earth beneth them that was for sure. For the smell of herbs to be this intense they will have had to been here for about 60years or more at least. So maby two or three generations of herbalists have lived here in a row considering the strong smell of the herbs. When offerd something to drink she slowly took it. Well atleast this bafoon knew enough of the herbs to make a mixture that would help that much she could tell from the tast. It was horrid after all. If it had been anything but she had spit it out at once. But as the wound on her arm got cleaned she winced in pain, moving on instinct more than anything. But as she was left alone she relaxed, falling asleep on the table.

The younger guard glared at his friend that simply left him to watch the girl and there he stood in silence, muttering for himself and glanced back at the woman on the table. Well, why the hell would someone like her walk on the roads with a bard of all things? It makes absolutley no sence at all. NONE!

"yes sir" he said before following his eyes to the soldier. "Rose, fix your saddle" he growled at the woman with a furious look in his eyes. DIMWIT! ******! MORON! That and more was what he wished to tell the woman but refrained from it due to the lords pressence. But damit, she should be able to do atleast that!

She looked up with a devestated look on her face. "Yes, ofcorse" she whisperd in a thin voice, as if it would break if it was anything more than a whisper. "Eum ... do you think you could go get me something to do? Maby some embrodery?" she whisperd with shaking hands. She really just needed something to do or she would break down again.

She nodded and fixed the saddle right away. She silently cursed and ignored the looks she got from the other guards. She knew that she has screwed up big time. She sighed almost silently. She closed her eyes and when she opened them she got back onto her horse. This was her life and at least she had tried not to be careless but it was hard. She patted her horse gently.

"My lady I will." The servant said. They got one of the stories Emont had written that had no evidence that it was his. It was not signed or anything. It was simply a book from the private library that Emont had placed there. They returned and gave it to her. The servant hoped that he could leave now. He didn't want to be punished from being disrespectful. He bowed down and he took his leave. The poor lady He thought to himself. He hurried to his pathetic room waiting for orders. He read his book that Emont had given him one day. He smiled.

On instinct he flinched away at the words though he remained his ground for the most part. Finn would watch over him, he mustn't look weak as he had before. With a bold movement he straightened himself though he was still kneeling before the king. 'Do not be afraid' he told himself. 'Death is just the beginning of something grander.' "Yes my lord." He answered after a moment. It wasn't likely that the court would see a priest, a body of everything holy, to death though it had happened a few times before. Many saw it as a sin, worse than even adultery, or the murder of a king thus most at the gallows wouldn't see it through. Though I'm this case they may not have a choice in the matter. The king wanted blood, and blood he would get.

Ruairi~23 years~DC

"That was a mighty fine tune ye played." The guard said holding up the pint of ale that he had bought. At this the bard simply shook his head.
"It's just a song I learned on the road, nothing too personal about it I'm afraid." This was a bold lie though the man seemed to believe it nonetheless. With a nod the guard went back to drinking his ale as Ruairi collected his pay and ordered two of the finest drinks. Mugs in hand he exited the inn, though he planned to go back later for the night. Approaching the younger of the two guards he held out the mug. "Drink my friend for tonight we live like kings!" He said in a merry tone.
