You return home and set the books on your writing desk. They're not much to look at, no fancy cover illustrations, just plain leather covers with the title in boring script.
Which book do you pick up first, or do you do something else?
Selena sighed and takes the five books to her office and places them on her desk. She went to find a notebook and something to write in for her notes. Once she gets all that she sits in her chair and grabs the book 'The Twelve Hour Blackout'.
(I am in fact aware of its existence due to having read it for summer homework lol. But, uh, this is an entirely different universe, not an AU Earth, so yeah xD)
There's no one else around. Do you stay in the literature section or actually go into the history section? You can't see much else by staying in the section you're currently in.
(We will pretend that never happene dthen lol)
Wl if no ones around she'll jsut go in and go our, and be quiet about it so no one knows. Hopefully no one xomes in, thst wouldnt be good.

"Hmm," she says, barging her way past you into the shop and sitting down at the nearest table, "There's a way to locate people based on their possessions, but it's harder to find someone the more blocked by natural elements they are, and I never actually did any alchemizing or anything like that. Watched a lot of it, though."
(Again, you can describe your shop if you want to xP)

He's not that much taller than you, but he comes over anyways. "A dog? I think a dog might make a little more noise." He looks up into the tree. "I don't see anything."

It's the thinnest of the books you brought back. Skimming, it seems to be detailing some mysterious blackout with an unknown cause that occurred in Fantasia about ten years ago, but it seems to be the type that extinguished lamps and fires, not magic lights, apparently, or the sunlight.

You sneak around the end of the literature section and enter the history section to find what looks like half of the books on the shelves scattered on the floor, a redheaded girl standing in the center of it all, and someone who's dressed in a library aide uniform passed out on the floor at the other end of the section. The girl whips around at the sound of your footsteps and immediately raises a thick book threateningly. "Get out."
He's not that much taller than you, but he comes over anyways. "A dog? I think a dog might make a little more noise." He looks up into the tree. "I don't see anything."
"Well I didn't see anything ether but when I poked the tree, it made a weird yelpy sound." Evan grabbed the stick and poked the tree again "Here, let me show you"

Selena sighed and closed the book after taking some notes from the book. "Not this one," Selena thought. She grabs the next book 'Life in the Ether: Possibility or Fiction?' and opens the book. She starts to read it.

"I..... um." I know almost nothing about the technicalities of magic, so there's not much I can say. I walk in past the familiar tables, chairs and the like inside the shop. It's not small, but it's far from luxurious as well. Several cases full of my wares are against the walls, and there are a couple unfinished projects at my worktable. I sigh and pace around a little.

You poke the tree again, but aside from the rustle of the leaves it makes, you don't hear a sound out of the ordinary.
The guy looks at you strangely. "Might've been the wind. I don't know how a dog would get stuck up there, anyways."
