"I'm sorry to hear that, Ragna. I was raised by human parents. I was found in the woods by the man that raised me. I can't complain to be honest. I love them very much; I just wanted to get out and see what was out in the world."
She looks at the girl, worried about her language getting worse as time went by, but not sure what to do about that. Noticing the glint on the ground, she turned her attention to it.
"Hmm, what's that there? Let's be careful moving towards it, ok?"
Moving towards it, slowly and carefully, to investigate what the glint might be.
Aylen slid down your arm and landed on the ground. She picked up a burnt piece of straw which was half as big as her and began tying it into a knot. "More than one person might be alive for all you know," she pointed out while idly playing with the straw.
Julien watched her, vaguely curious, through blurry eyes. "Or everyone could already be gone," he whispered.

Beside you, Niche seethed. She glanced at you. "Permission to engage in a fight?" she questioned through gritted teeth. Her magnificent blue eyes almost seemed like they were...glowing?

Although it was incredibly hard to tell which direction the rumbling was coming from, you seemed to sense it was coming most from your left.

The doll cocked her head to the side. Ruk signed something to her, and her eyes widened slightly. "That's right!" she gasped, and then turned back to you. "Ruk says that, if there's still smoke about, then it had to have been kinda recent, right?"

Malak knew he was being foolish. In the back of his mind he was reprimanding himself for acting like such an idiot. He was overreacting, being melodramatic, and yet even though he was able to recognize this fact, he couldn't get his heart to slow down and he stared at the dwarf blankly. He opened his mouth,
probably to shout again, when he heard the pixie's voice behind him.
"Elysetta," he said in a voice barely above a whisper, relief flooding his system. He barely paid attention to what she was telling the dwarf, didn't even think to take offense at her suggesting to him that Malak was somewhere ill. He was just happy that she was okay. He didn't even mind when she smacked him.
"I'm sorry," he said, rubbing the side of his head absently, "I just didn't know where you were, and...wait, you went a hundred or so miles!" He stared at her with wide eyes. "How...how...how did you do that?!"

Slight color flooded the pixie's face and she averted her gaze from yours. "I, ah, I flew. I know I shouldn't have, since my wing isn't fully healed yet, but I hardly felt the pain because I was so happy to be free again," she explained, and then a small smile lifted her face. "I always was the fastest flier in my cove," she added.

Aylen abandoned the piece of straw in favor of a crow's feather, which she very youthfully dragged through the dirt. "And that means that they're more likely to be alive, right?" Aylen suggested.
