"Ahhh, gotcha," she said with a wink. "Yep, Gilador. I lost my map on the way here."

The little boy pointed to a shady-looking merchant that you had noticed before. "I think that guy's selling one," the boy told you.

"Ah, thank you." She reached over and ruffled the boy's hair. "Don't get into too much trouble, yeah?"

She walked back to Niche with a smile. "Well, I think we have an interesting place to go for now. I'm just gonna make one last stop at a merchant before we leave though." She walked over with Niche to the shady merchant.

Malak's heart had started to pound and he was fighting the urge to panic. It was not like him to lose his head so quickly in a crisis. He took a deep breath and turned toward the door. He opened it quickly and stormed back toward the entrance to the inn. He walked up to the counter and stood before the dwarf that was there.

"My companion is missing and so is my satchel," he said in a tone which suggested an explanation had better be forthcoming.

Niche followed you to the shady merchant, who eyed her suspiciously.

"Hello," he greeted you. "May I interest you in a ring borne by the seventh king of the Golar dwarf clan?" he started.

"Haha, can't say I'm looking for one, sorry," Lisette replied. "I'm interested in a map of Gilador though, would you happen to have one?"

The dwarf's eyebrows raised slightly. He cleared his throat before speaking. "I'm not quite sure I know what your companions looks like," he told you.

Before you could say anything more, though, the door opened and in stepped Elysetta, carrying your satchel, which looked somewhat full. She gaped slightly. "Malak?" she questioned, and then walked over to the counter. "Excuse him," she chuckled nervously to the dwarf. "I don't suppose he's taken his herbs yet. Wonky, you know?" she offered an apologetic smile.

Then, she pulled you to the side and whacked you on the side of the head, though not hard. "Making a ruckus!" she whisper-shouted. "Do you not trust me, Malak Khaleel? I simply went a hundred or so miles to the forest to gather some fruits and vegetables so we'd be more prepared," she explained.

"I would," the merchant said, pulling out a small, folded-up map. "Five Fairs for this," he told you with a sly smile.

Niche growled, sounding almost animalistic. "That's overpriced and you know it, Kipth," she snapped at him.

Kipth simply widened his sleazy smile. "My wares, my price," he chuckled.

Lisette scratched her head. "Yeah, that is a bit much for my budget right now," she said with a meek smile. "I don't suppose you could offer a slight discount for a new adventurer? Or maybe I could pay half and pay interest later when I find something nice from the travels?"

(all changed)

You couldn't see anything in the dim lighting, just endless tunnel going out in both directions. For a minute or two, the rumbling started up again before dying down once more.

What do you wish to do?

She tried to tell the direction the rumbling was coming from by listening again.
