Malak sat down on sand with his legs crossed. It had been a very long day, and he was beginning to feel the fatigue. He gave Elysetta a curious glance as she began talking about a magical barrier.
Just another thing he was not yet used to.
"I suppose it wouldn't hurt," he said to her, "As long as it doesn't tire you out too much. You need energy to heal."

She chuckled lightly. "It won't. Other types of magic do take a bit more energy, yes, but I have a source of magic now," she explained. Then, she concentrated, and a translucent emerald wall sprung up around your little clearing.

Malak watched the barrier go up, in awe of her magical ability. He yawned, stretching his arms high above his head until his back gave a satisfying popping sound.
"You should get some sleep," he said to Elysetta, "I will take first watch. I promise not to let you sleep through any battles." He chuckled slightly.

Elysetta raised one eyebrow at you. "You should sleep, as well. We have my barrier to protect us. We can sleep together," she told you, and then color flooded her cheeks. "Er... You know what I mean... At the... At the same time..." she looked away, turning her back to you to hide her embarrassment.

Elysetta was not alone in her embarrassment. As she soon as the words left her mouth and she began stuttering, Malak's cheeks began to burn again. He looked at as she turned her back.
"Well," he said, clearing his throat awkwardly, "I suppose I'll bid you good night then." He arranged his bedroll,
placed his cloak at the top to use as a pillow and went to sleep.

Choosing to speak with the woman further, Gara tilts her head, studying her.
"Why...I mean thank you for your kindness and aide, but why would you befriend one like me? People usually shun me, or worst case they attack me. You say I fell? No one did this to me?" She is quiet a moment, just letting the coolness of the cloth soothe her aching head.
"It is good to have friends, I am far from those at home. Speaking of which, might I inquire as to what your town has to offer? Or should I just be on my way?"
She was proud to be who she was, but she had become painfully aware that others were not quite so quick to befriend her and well, sometimes their thoughts of her kind hurt. She was beginning to understand why her parents wanted her to stay, but she would show them, not all orcs were mindless savage brutes!

The woman smiled and removed the cloth from your forehead. "I am not biased against any kind, girl," she told you kindly. "And we've got your basic merchants. Weapons, tools, food, packs, medicine, et cetera. We've also got taverns and inns," she added.

She nodded slowly, truly grateful for the information from the woman.
"Hmm, maybe I will see if I can get my axe sharpened up a bit before heading out, never know when you will need a good head on an axe." She smiles at the woman, happy that she is not afraid of her tusks. "I thank you for your help, Niala. I think I shall explore your town here a bit before I get on my way. Umm, is there anything I can do to repay your kindness?"

You heard Elysetta settle down soon after you did. When you woke up in the morning, she was still asleep a good few feet from you, curled up on her side with wings folded behind her.
