Malak woke up just as the sun was beginning to peek over the horizon. He was used to awaking at dawn. When you live in the desert, you grow accustomed to rising with the sun so you can get morning chores done before it becomes too hot. Here on the shores of the lake it was rather chilly. He glanced over at Elysetta's sleeping form. Her face looked angelic, peaceful. He had no intention of waking her, so instead...

"Thank you, Niala, I shall definitely try to do so" She will stand and take her gear, giving the older woman a bow of respect and then she will head out into the street.
a) Leave the tavern
Blinking at the light, she raises one hand up to shield her eyes, her head still aching some and the sudden flare of light not helping. "Ow...ok that is bright." Blinking several times, and wiping away the tears from her suddenly assaulted eyes, she will then start looking around to get her bearings in this town before heading off in a direction to hopefully find a shop to sharpen her axe a bit before she heads out on her adventure once more.

You start preparing the food over a fire, roasting some meat. You tried to remain as quiet as you could about it, however about halfway through the meat being cooked, Elysetta woke with a start. She sat up quickly, one hand flying to touch her circlet, and then calmed down. She looked away and rubbed at her eyes. "Good morning," she greeted you.

As you glance around the town, you notice many merchants selling their wares. There are also several people milling about randomly. It seems like a normal human town. The only thing that stands out is a scrawny young dwarf girl standing about nervously.
What do you wish to do?

Malak carefully cooked some of the meat that he had brought with him on his journey, the aromatic scent of the spice blend he had brought from home filled the camp. He glanced up as Elysetta awoke, concerned at first when she seems alarm, but he smiled as she relaxed.
"Good morning," he greeted her warmly, "Hungry?"

Knowing how it feels being the outcast, she walks over to the dwarf girl. "Hello there, my name is Gara...you look like you may be nervous...everything ok?" She will stop a little ways off, just making sure that she isn't causing the nervousness.

The dwarf jumped as you approached. Actually, she seemed rather young. Perhaps not even a teenager yet. "I, um... I'm not supposed to talk to strangers," she told you anxiously.

The look of happiness on her face as Elysetta stretched her wings gave Malak a warm feeling throughout his body. Regardless of anything else, he would always feel glad that he had helped her.
"Suit yourself," he said, popping a piece of seasoned meat into his mouth and savoring the flavors, "I'm afraid that after yesterday's excitement I'm a bit at a loss for what to do next. Do you have any suggestions?"
