Born of the sun and flame, she ruled over all that the sun would reach. Like a phoenix she is immortal, she has always been, and will always be. Forever watching over her people from her perch in the sky, waiting until she is called to help once more.

The Lost Pirate Princess....

It has been heard that this young beautiful Princess, a Pirate Princess was sailing across the ocean until she had disappeared.. No one knew what really had happen to her, but others says they see this girl with deep sea blue hair ...and tentacles spurting out from the hat of that of an Octopus...walking with a ryori ghost flying around her as her pet and warning... She make her rounds upon a ghost ship that appears and when those light blue eyes gaze towards you... She reaches out with the flare of greenish spark wings with light blue mists behind, calling out.. "I am here... Come find me...." Wherever this young Princess Pirate is at, she is never cold to the summer days..Her cool air is the ocean's depth with her fellow creatures of the deep sea are nearby. However, she will keep the ocean cooling down for those who want to enjoy the waters during the summer heat. If no one could see and or hear her then she will keep watch while lost to the world of the ghost ship.Just keep an eye out of a large playful Octopus that seem to move about the outside of the ship

Inspiration: When it's summer, I always love the water and Pirates are something I love like during the summer days.. It may look Ghoul like, but something this could be seen within the Bermuda-Triangle, where everything is lost there...So who knows! She could be the watcher of the summer days where they are. Perhaps the lost Survivors are enjoying their summer with the Lost Princess watching over them.

Khalen, Wanderer of the Desert
(And Zahera, who comes into the story later~)

Far across the desert lives an ancient and brutal tribe. For countless generations, as far back in their history as anyone can remember, they have lived as bandits and thieves, stealing from other nations and villages that lie beyond their barren wasteland of a home. Fighting alongside them are a pride of Lighira, bred to be just as strong and brutal as the bandits themselves. Weakness within the tribe is forbidden, and those unable to fight are ousted from the group.

Including their children...

Khalen was a child whose eyes never opened. He was defective, worthless, a burden on their limited resources and a waste of life... His parents waited four years for his eyes to open, but they never did. When their second child was born, one that was healthy and strong, they abandoned Khalen in the desert wasteland, leaving him to die.

But not everyone believed that the boy was weak just because he was different. In the light of day when life in the tribe was busy and bustling, Khalen did struggle. But as soon as darkness fell and the people slept, the boy would wander. None of the humans took notice of this, of course, but the Lighira did. Sensitive as their hearing was they would pick up on a strange little clicking sound, moving along the streets. It was Khalen, seeing the world in his own little way and navigating the streets with simple ease.

When the boy was taken, one of the Lighira broke away from the pride and followed. Though she could be considered tame she was a lot more willful than the other Lighira. She was a proud and powerful warrior, a natural fighter in every sense of the word, but she lacked purpose and drive. In her mind there was no reason for the tribe to fight and steal to survive. And there was no reason to throw away the human cub. Zahera followed the humans into the desert, but she did not follow them back to the tribe. Instead the Lighira stayed behind, and approached the small, scared little child.

Even in the darkness, Khalen knew that it was one of the tribe's Lighira who approached him. He knew their scent well, and the way their armor clinked and the capes would ruffle in the wind as they walked. What he didn't understand was why one was there after he had been left behind. Fearing the worst, the boy ran in the opposite direction before the Lighira could eat him.

Zahera was confused by this action but she quickly gave chase; the desert was full of dangers and it wouldn't be safe for the small child. But the more she gave chase, the harder the boy would run. He may have been smaller and much slower, but he was agile, and with a little click of his tongue he would know how to duck down and run right beneath her, again in the opposite direction. If she tried to cut him off, he would simply change his direction and keep running. It was a tiresome game, but it proved Zahera's hunch that the boy was indeed worth saving. The chase continued for several minutes until finally, something else interrupted them. Lurking beneath the sands was a large and voracious Sand Worm, and it was very, very hungry.

Playtime was over. Zahera leaped over the boy and caught him by the collar of his shirt, and ran for the sake of both of their lives.

Sand Worms were one of the greatest dangers of the desert but they did have one weakness: they could only burrow through the grainy desert sands. Khalen may not have been trained to fight but he had learned the stories and tales of the tribe; if they could find stone, they would be safe. There was a subtle difference in the echo that stone produced, so with his unique way of using sound Khalen was able to 'see' the difference in the terrain ahead. He reached up and tugged on one of Zahera's earrings, causing her to turn and run in the right direction. The Sand Worm followed, burrowing through the sands until it collided with the hidden stone with a loud thud that shook the ground beneath them; wounded, the creature gave up its chase, and returned to the depths of the sand.

Now that they were safe Zahera released Khalen from her jaw, and lied down to rest. After his life had been saved, Khalen knew that the Lighira had not been left behind to eat him after all; he stayed by her side, and quickly fell asleep.

Twenty years have passed since then, and to this very day Khalen and Zahera continue to wander the desert. Only once did they come across their tribe again, but they knew to stay away; since then, no matter how many times they cross the desert sands, the pair just can't seem to find them again. Perhaps they were taken out by another tribe or society; maybe they died of famine or disease; or perhaps they had decided to leave the desert behind in search of a more hospitable home.

Whatever the reason, to Khalen it didn't really matter much. He had been left behind long ago, and was forgotten...

(Edit: Ah... sorry it's not really 'short' by most peoples' standards. I got lost in my own writing again... Typically I'm writing 4-5k words for a single chapter so I think I did well enough keeping it under 1,000. >_>; )

Blade Dancer

The desert's heat blazes stronger than ever in the summer season, but life goes on and caravans do what they must to get by. Night time brings the trade routes relief from the sun, but also the danger of the Blade Dancer. She raids in the dark, armed with the tools of her art and decorated with the fruits of her success. Mercenaries know the danger of dancing with her and eagerly use her as an excuse to charge extravagant fees. So eager are they to charge a grand price, some traders find it more profitable to simply let her plunder what she can carry and be on her way. Indeed, the caravans do what they must.

Goddess the of Tropical Seas

The legend says that she was born from the waves, on a warm summer day. She is the goddess of the tropical waters, and a protector of sea life. Some fishermen and mariners tell that they have seen her swimming in the form of a magnificent fish with bright green and blue changing color scales , but she is usually seen in the form of a humanoid woman, with hair of the color of the tropical sea, surrounded by light and water as if she was one with the Ocean, wearing pearl jewellry and accompanied by sea sprites. She is usually kind and benevolent, but when the people are disrespectful towards the Seas and Marine Life she can show a terrible anger and summon a storm or a tidal wave.

She was inspired by various photographies of tropical atolls, sea and sea life...

Are you ready for a story? Well, sit on down, kick back, and prepare yourself for:
The Story of Aoife O'Hare...

Long ago, in an ancient world, the vast wilderness was taken care of by a race of small folk. You might call them leprechauns, or fairies, whatever word your culture uses amounts to the same thing. They had magic, and were responsible for maintaining the balance of nature. Our story begins with the birth of one very special, and very spirited young sprite...

Aoife was different from the moment she opened her pale blue eyes. Her bright red hair caused her parents to gasp in shock. They were unsure what to make of this sign, but they loved their daughter as any parents would and raised her in the ancient traditions of their kind. Everything in their world was built on a firm structure of rules and regulations. There was a proper way to do something, and not adhering to these rules resulted in penalties. No one saw any reason to break out of these confinements.

As soon as she was able to begin her duties, Aoife began to rebel against the teachings of her parents and all the others. She wanted to play and to experiment, and to be original. She wanted to bring some excitement into the world around her. Her parents tried everything they could to reign in her wild behavior, but nothing had any effect. Aoife would not be tamed. Finally, having decided there was no other choice, her parents and the rest of the elders locked Aoife away in an abandoned cottage deep in the woods. There she waited for many, many years...

Imprisonment did not stop Aoife in her mission to bring more fun and mischief to the world. She bided her time, talking to the forest animals from her one small window. Eventually, after much practice, she managed to talk the animals into bringing her certain items. It took a very long time for her to gather everything that she needed, and she had to be very careful that her parents or any of the others found out about her plans. Finally, on the twentieth anniversary of her confinement, she had all of the materials necessary for the spell. It was an old enchantment that she had read while she was still very little, during one of her secret trips into the restricted section of the the archives. It was a summoning spell.

The spell took all night to prepare. Aoife grounded herbs, lit candles, and began to chant the ancient words. As the first rays of morning light streamed through her window she opened her eyes and saw two bright yellow orbs gazing at her. Standing in the middle of her cabin was a small, gangly little creature, with bright green skin and large ears. Its yellow eyes peered at her curiously. She grinned widely and clapped her hands together. It had worked! She had summoned an imp!

"I need your help...," she said to it, and the imp nodded, a small smile on its face.

Together Aoife and the imp broke the spells keeping her imprisoned, and they set out to bring fun, laughter, and mischief to the world. They became the best of friends, and soon Aoife's example began to change the minds of the next generation of caretakers, and the world ushered in a time of freedom and creativity.
