Aris and Rose

He looked at Rose. "You knew better than to start a fight." Aris stated. "So don't. No matter what these ignorant guards do." He received a bit of his old tone of voice that seemed to alway be hiding a secret. He had that look in his eyes that someone wore when they had secrets they wouldn't let out. But yet it was almost kind in a way. He turned to look at the guards who froze like a deer in front of headlights when they saw the look on his face. "I thought guards knew better!" Aris snapped at them. "Hitting on a girl! One who should be considered brethren or whatever you wish to call it. I also thought guards didn't act like beggars. But your eyes look like your begging her for gold!" The guards were shaking and started to back away from Aris. Aris looked at Rose who seemed to be frowning. "Sorry about that." Aris said. "I hope they don't bother you from now on."

Rose knew better than to cross paths with Aris especially when he was in a bad mood. She also wasn't that scared but look at those guards! They would rather be dead right now....... Rose knew that. She didn't need magic to know that. Rose took care of her horse. "You are formidable." Rose laughed. "They would rather be dead than be here you know that right? Well you won't be able to effect any of the king's men even with an attitude like that! Aris good luck with the king. You know who should be in your place and you can't let that affect you. I won't mention their name because it's best to let them rest peacefully." Rose hoped she hadn't been too harsh or too kind because she didn't want to be either. She would rather stay the way she was.

Zarune~ 29 years old~ RG

For hours he seemed to sit there talking to the cat as they exchanged stories to one another though the cat seemed a bit short on words even in the better of the stories. He left many of details out, though one could get the general idea of what he was talking about. Each time a guard passed though it seemed they thought less and less about how much of a threat he could be but rather how sane the king was for letting this man teach the prince. Though the conversation ended when the cat yawned and found that it was better to sleep than to listen. "See you in the morrow." The man said climbing to his feet once more. He needed to go and retrieve his robes, before he forgot about them. All in all these clothes he was wearing were rather comfortable even if they were a bit on the large side. They made him feel normal, he liked that. But alas he was a priest and there was rules that followed. With a sigh he walked down the many of stairs towards the village below. It had gotten colder to be honest, or was it the fact that these weren't his normal clothes that he wore. These seemed the let the cold in a lot more than his robes. Frankly it was rather chilly yet he liked it. Once in the village he couldn't help but think of Molly. He hadn't seen her since earlier in the day, which now seemed so long ago. Hopefully she was alright. With quick steps he brought himself to the herbalists home where he briskly knocked upon the door. Hopefully they were home. Again his thoughts wandered to Molly and where she could be.
Zarune? A voice said behind him causing him to turn. It was the Molly! Where had she been? He didn't know but he was glad she was alright, though it looked as if she had been crying. Was everything alright?
Molly! What are you doing here? He asked a bit embarrassed to been seen like this.
I was just heading back to the castle. I went to visit my father. The woman said sliding down from the saddle of the horse. She embraced him then hugging him as she the merely sobbed into his shoulder. Something was bugging her, he could tell now yet he was too shocked to do much other than hug her back. How was one to comfort another? He hadn't the slightest idea! He had never done this before in his life!

As he slowly ate he watched the younger girl as she put away the bowl quicker than he had ever seen anyone eat before. Was she really that bad off? Without words he rose and filled the bowl again handing it back to the girl. Although she ate slowly this time the bowl still didn't stand much of a chance. This time though she refused another bowl. "I hope that sufficed." He said smiling at her though she seemed to be drowsy or maybe even sick. By the time he finished his own bowl the girl was asleep with her head on the table. "I can't help but feel sorry for her." He said watching her. "I wonder what all she has gone through." It was true, though he didn't know her he seemed to already feel protective over her. It was like seeing an orphaned child and adopting them into your family, you just get that feeling about her when she spoke, walked, or glared at you. "If you are not against it I think I may invite her to join us."

Agrona ~~ Poisonmaker master ~~ 22 ~~ currently in: DC

She had stopped eating for quiet some time. Her eyes still fixated above the girls head. The pair of lightbrown, goldenlike eyes seemed to be following something floating yet nothing was seen. She just studied the lifethread above the girl. For every mouth she forced down her throat, for every piece of food she managed to keep in the stomach the stronger it shined of white. It was as if it was telling her that it is yet to be a while before the godess comes to collect this girl. That yet there is a fighting spirit within the young woman on the other side of the table. As she squinted her eyes as if to see some fine detailing of a picture or embrodery she saw the rather messy looking start of the gils life thread. The question that was directed towards her made her jump a bit. "I dont beive I have much say in this now do I? Not only do I owe you a massive favour but Im also nothing but a woman. If you so wish to take me to the afterlife I have no real say in it." she said in a direct manner. With this said she looked away from the man and towards the girl. As she did so her face got a surpriced look on it. The colour changed so massivly simply because the girl was not denied to follow them? The string had gone from a brightgrey to a rather strong white colour wich surpriced her rather massivly. Never had she seen such a quick and massive shift in tone of a life thread.

He came back with his horse next to him and his daughter still exitedly kicking on the side of the poor animal. "My lord, my family offerd to share their food with us if we stay for the night." he said with a polite bow. With that done he removed his daughter from the animal, putting the child on the ground. Quickly as if he would disapear the child grabbed his leg. With a soft smile he bent his knees so he got to her eyehight. "Sweetheart, dady wont go this time. I promiss Il still be by your side tomorrow." he smiled. At this the child threw herself into the mans arms and just hugged him before falling asleep in his arms. Eum ... ******! How will he now get the horse taken care of? As if she could read his mind his wife apeared next to him, taking the child in her arms.

Aris and Rose

"That is very kind of them." Aris said. He lost all his attitude so not to draw attention to himself. The guards glanced at Aris worried that he would attack them. He smiled and looked at the child. He hoped that this journey wouldn't be too harsh. Rose dusted herself off slightly and then went up to the head guard. "Should we set up camp near the house or stay a bit aways?" Rose asked. She smiled at Aris. Aris nodded and Rose got some supplies. She started setting up camp for the night. She knew Alexander would most likely stay with his family. She worked alone for a while until one of the guards came to help her. Soon after, the other guards decided to help out. Rose sighed and closed her eyes during the break she had been given. Rose took a drink of water and ate a bit of bread. Aris fed his horse an apple that had been in the saddle bag.

Their embrace seemed to take most of a five minute time though at last the woman pulled away. "Forgive me, I seemed to have forgotten myself for a moment." She said in a rather apologetic tone as she used a hand to push the hair from her face. The priest merely smiled at her before turning back to the door and giving it another knock. The two reframed from speaking for what seemed like a long time before the woman spoke again. "Have you heard? From the king I mean to say."
"Yes, though I wouldn't exactly call it the best of news. It seems he was not pleased with my behavior even if it was with the best intents of the village. I'm to go before the high court in the morning." He said looking back at her for a moment. It seemed her whole mood had changed, from being in a sort of sorrow to outraged. Her fist clenched at her sides as she heard this.
"He has no right to do that! You are a priest not a criminal! What does he know of magic?! Nothing but a few spells! If a priest says some form of magic is dangerous then the first to listen is the king! Why then? Why does he send you before the court for only doing you job?"
"I know not the answer, but I'm sure it will present itself to me in the morrow." This did nothing to the woman's mood though even if she did hold her tongue. Something was bugging her, he could tell.

Ruairi~23 years~DC

"Of course you do! If you wish her to stay here then just speak it and it will be done." He said before rising to his feet. "And on an opposite note if you wish her come then do say." With that he took the bowls and spoons from the table before placing them in a bucket of water for cleaning once Sasha had cleaned them of course. "You seem desturbed, is everything alright?" Ruairi asked towards the woman. She just kept staring at the girl, could she see something he could not? That was impossible! Of course she couldn't see anything he could not! It's not like she was a witch after all. Or was she? Did he truly know to rule that out of was he just making things up to making himself feel better?

Roseah, the 15 year old girl that was a aprentice to the old herbalist opend the door, her hair messy and clothes atleast in proper condition. The brown hair looked as if she had just woken up from something and when she noticed it was Molly and the priest she just smiled a bit, relived it wasnt her master. "Oh, hello Molly, your hooliness. Can I help you with anything?" she asked , stepping to the side so the couple could enter the house that smelled nicely of herbs all over the place and a fireplace sparking in a homely maner.

She looked at him a while before looking back at the woman. "The temple I served in when I was younger belonged to Audhumbla. They trained my magic and in all honesty i have nver seen a lifethread such as hers. Its so ragged, thin and ... pale. As if she is to die any day." she said while looking at the thread. With a sigh she closed her eyes, rubbing them slightly. This is really confusing for her. It is recovering way to quickly for it to be natural. Perhaps ... perhaps this girl have a deity watching over her? its the only way she can explain something like this happening. She just recovers way to quickly for it to be without the aid of a god or godess. "But right now she is recovering quickly, way to quickly to be natural" she added while still watching the string above the the womans body.

He smiled at his wife and kissed her gently before leading the horse to the others. With a smile he removed the bridle and put on a halter.after doing so he tied the animal to a pole he put into the ground. After removing the saddle and the saddlebags he started to brush the animal that started to fall asleep from the soft, calm brushing. With a smile he patted the animal once done, utting a blanket ontop of the animal before gettng the bridle and saddle towards the camp they set up. His wife came over with her tent and stuff on her back and the little girl sleeping in her arms. With a shuckle he took the tent from her and let her sit and rest while he put it up.Once the tent was up he sat down next to his wife, putting his arm around her. The woman leaned against him, closing her eyes. "I missed you guys" he whisperd, kissing her forehead with a afectionate smile.

Rose

She took off her helmet and placed it inside the tent. She came out and sighed. Rose closed her eyes and then let out another sigh. What was it like to have family? What would it be like to not ever be alone? What was it like to have someone take care of you? Rose didn't know. Her family never appreciated her choice to become a knight. She didn't care that much though it was hard to see her sister be so upset. Rose walked off into the forest. She wanted to be alone and she hoped no one would follow her into the woods. She didn't care who they were! None of the guards respected her! She was a joke to them! They didn't understand how hard she tried...... no one did. Rose wanted to scream but she didn't. She knew the others would hear her and come running. She didn't need help and they didn't really need her help. She was just there by choice. She wanted to go back to the castle and lock herself up. If only Emont was alive.... Rose thought then I would be escorting him instead of Aris. What if the king saw promise in Emont? Would he be trained? The king hated most of Aris's family but maybe Emont would have changed his mind.

After a while the little girl woke up. As she realiced that it was her mother, not her father that hold her she started to scream in disapointment. "hey hey sweety, daddy is here" he said, quickly taking the child in his arms. As she heard her father she stoped screaming and clinged to him. "hey hey, I told you id be here" he said calming, rubbing the childs back as she calmed down while hugging him.

They sneaked after her on silent feets. "look, she looks kinda odd" one of them whisperd while walking after her on the open plains. The parents didnt really care as loong as they could see them so the kids could wander off pretty much anywhere they wanted. "Hey dont talk so high" one of the other kids whisperd back. "im not!" the first one protested in a low whisper. Normally they would have to help tie up the animals so they cant run away but now since they had guests, and a noble to boot, they got this time of. With whispering voices they followed her while keeping their distance. They dont know who she is after all.

Rose

She knew something was off. She made a motion to grab her sword but then kept on moving along, She turned around and she got out her sword. She mumbled curses as a bandit came up behind her. She turned and stabbed the bandit. She felt pain as the bandit dug their dagger into her side. She didn't scream in pain. She sliced the bandit but it moved out of the way. She needed to keep a clear mind. She grabbed her side with one hand and kept her sword pointed at the bandit with the other. She knew she might not fight very good now. She rushed at the bandit and slashed the Bandit's torso. The bandit screamed and ran. Rose smiled and put up her sword. She looked at her side which had been slightly exposed. She looked at the blood that threatened to stain the grass.

Zarune~ 29 years old~ RG

"Good evening dear." Zarune said smiling down at the young lady. "I came to see if my robes were cleaned yet, I would very much like to have them back either way. It's strange to think that some don't recognize you if you wear simple clothes for less than a day. I have already had my fair share of close calls today, I would rather not end up dead because one though me a commoner speaking with the prince or even Molly." He said stating his business without stepping inside the hut. Him and Molly still had much they needed to talk about, such things that he would rather step to her outside in private. Once the girl had heard his proposal he then turned to Molly yet again. She still seemed troubled. "It's Cullyn is it not?"
"Pardon?" The woman asked with a confused look. Her pale blue eyes shine in the like as her near golden hair fell about her shoulders where she had neglected to put it away. The blueish color of her dress did nice to compliment her shape as well, all in all it was enough to make a man's heart skip a beat if he could look past the fact that she had beaten many a man in her day.
"What has you troubled, your thinking of the Prince." She nodded slowly though he knew not that that was not the only thing on her mind. "Worry not milady, he is doing better than one would think. He seems to be doing well on his own for one so young."
"He's on his own?!"
"No no that's not what I meant! I mean yes and no. The chamberlain is looking after him though it seems that he stepped out when I stopped to see the lad and apologize to him for my actions. That reminds me." The priest stopped for a moment. "I'm deadly sorry for what I have done. I knew not what I was thinking earlier today. It was as if I was under a spell myself. I have no one to blame but myself. Come tomorrow I will let the king know this is not your fault but mine. After all I didn trick you, and take the prince."
"Zarune..."
"I won't hear it, this is my fault no matter what you say to it."
"Thank you."
"For?"
"Showing me you care."

Ruairi~23 years~DC

"Lifethread?" The bars asked a bit confused. Maybe she was sicker than he thought originally. Or was it the herbs speaking? If he didn't know better he would say she had one to many herbs, and not the good kind either. Thea seemed alright to him, she was sleeping away as Sasha cuddled in her lap. If the fox liked her then she was a good person. As shown earlier before, Sasha had a way of telling if someone was good or bad. She told know that this girl was good. Hopefully she was right this time. "I know not what you are talking about." In his many years of travel he had yet to hear of such a thing. Strange. He was starting to think he was the one in need of a pint.
