Leosana the midnight warrior. Guardian of a lost land where dreams and reality intersect. Her job is to keep them both from taking too much power over the other. Without dreams there will be no magic, but without reality life would end.

Lorelei has always just been a young water witch but growing up she's always been mocked and taunted do to the fact that others are scared of her because she is a witch. She gets angry and sad when this happens because she is actually rather kind and caring unlike those who are evil. As she doesn't have any friends to play with she spends her time practicing magic and swimming with the sea creatures. She also loves music which is why her magic flute is in her have. Lorelei was just playing a soothing tune that conjured the floating flowers around her. She hopes that one day she can make the world see that not all witches do harmful things.

"Well, we are all ready for a nice warm night of stargazing. Can't wait to go and watch meteors, comets, and swirling nebula! I love this time of year. Don't you? No!?! But, why? Too warm? Wear lighter clothes. Still too warm? Get out of the desert! That must be the problem. You are in the desert! If you were out here where it is nice and comfy then you would like the summer too. I promise, out here the heat is a pleasant kind of sultry. You can smell the honeysuckle on the breeze mingling with just a hint of salt. Mmmm. Love that smell."

The Light of the Deep

Cast to the ocean,
Forever lost.
Destined to remain alone,
To feel the Deep's water-frost.

But once a year,
He may awake from the slumber.
To guide lost souls
On a single night of summer.

With his lamp in hand,
His everlasting scowl on his face,
He walks along the coastline,
Taking whispering spirits from place to place.

A forest borders the beach,
And wind shakes the trees.
His attention clouds with memory
To a place where his focus flees.

Once a Guardian of the woods,
Banished by an old friend.
A bloody-thirsty traitor
Who lied in the end.

As dawn lightens the sky,
And he feels himself growing weak,
He steps back into the water,
But hears in the distance a laughing shriek.

Glancing back, he sees the red eyes,
And upon the dark face a malicious sneer.
He frowns and sighs, realizing that
His betrayer came to taunt him another year.

"Crawl back to your waters,
O Light of the Deep!
Your punishment is finished tonight.
Go back to sleep!"

He rolls his eyes and ignores the jeers,
Sinking slowly down into the waves.
Strong currents guide his tired body
To the Deep's cold caves.

His eyelids heavy as he curls down
Into a chilly hollow in the floor,
He takes a few deep breaths,
Then begins to quietly snore.

He murmurs under his breath,
"I am the Light of the Deep."
Then his body goes still,
And he spends a whole year asleep.

Kalik Lighthope once dwelled as a kindred Guardian in the Forest of Wisdom. He was among the many who was friend to everything from the mighty stag to the tiny mouse. He had a strong connection to the enthusiastic rabbits that leapt. The forest had not known such peace for centuries. Everything was well.

But it was not to remain so. Saedyn Blackhorn was unearthing an army as the Guardians slept, and it was on one fateful summer night that he launched an attack that was meant to destroy each Guardian. He intended to take rule over the forest and force its inhabitants to bend to his orders...

And he succeeded. There was hardly a fight as the Guardians were assassinated in their sleep. Only the heir of the throne, Kalik himself, was spared. Saedyn had darker plans for the gentle soul. He banished Kalik to the ocean, branding him as the Light of the Deep, and stood back watching as Kalik's vibrant colours faded to blue. Kalik was devastated. Saedyn had been his closest friend, and he had been betrayed.

"On this night of every summer," Saedyn said in a low whisper to Kalik, "you will be waken from your death-like sleep to take the lost souls travelling across the beach so they can escape my kingdom. I should have no need for them after I've drained their power, after all."

Kalik had to obey, for the forces of the throne gave him no choice. And henceforth, he became the Light of the Deep, awaking on the night of every summer that Saedyn had slaughtered the Guardians. He walked the beach's grainy sand through the hot night, taking the murmuring spirits that had been drained of their power across the beach so that they could be free from Saedyn.

And so it was to last like this for all eternity. With the Guardians dead and Saedyn gaining life-force from the spirits' power that he drank, the forest was never to know a new heir. And Kalik was doomed to the black bottoms of the sea: the Deep.

He had become ill-tempered, but he still held out hope that a brighter future awaited him and the Forest of Wisdom. He was the sole light that could be found in the black nothingness of the depressing Deep. Though he lived in such a way, he became proud to be the Light of the Deep.

This is Neftiri the Wanderer. Every summer, she comes to the coast to socialise, sell the exotic wares she brings from all corners of the world, and let her faithful companion frolic in the waters where he was born.

An aspiring oceanologist, Rebecca goes swimming in the ocean whenever she can. She especially loves the summer, when all the creatures are out in the waters and she can interact with them (carefully, of course).

Natire, the Underworld Prince

Natire is the youngest and only prince of the Underworld. Around the age of 24, his father has pushed him through countless battles to test his strength and intelligence. He had gotten the curse and scar from fighting a Chimera who had disobeyed the king. The curse locks him in the Underworld, unable to allow him elsewhere, but he has made the best of the situation, testing out different styles of clothing while he waits out the curse.
