Hmm... so it's a hole... surrounded by plastic?
Or maybe the plastic shapes the empty space into a hole
The word 'hole' doesn't look like a word anymore...

Yes, a singular hole shaped and surrounded by plastic.

Yeah that'll happen when you obsess over a topic like this. First time?

Talking about holes in straws? Technically, yep. Obsessing over aomething? No. Making a word meaningless by thinking about it too much? Also nah.

Y'know this made me think about something else; If spiders were the size of cats, would they be more or less terrifying? Like, on one hand, they can't get into your house as easily. On the other hand, once they do...

I have nothing better to do so, I'll join the debate.

Makes sense! Tho if a straw is a hole, then...it's air. The Oxford def for hole is "a hollow place in a solid body or surface," so I still believe straws are the solid body (plastic tube), and the hole is inside the straw.

I just looked up close-up spider pics
And boy do I regret it
But if you think about it, you know how they say you're never more than 5 feet (I think) from a spider outside
So... um
How big would the insects they eat have to be
The wrapped-up insects bother me more than the spiders tbh

And the straw itself is what makes the empty space a hole. But if there were no hole, it wouldn't be a straw, either.
...Huh.

Wow lol

Also did you know that most stuff is mostly made of air
So a straw can ba e infinite holes because of all those particles and the spaces between them tech locally being holws

Uh oh this is getting too deep for my brain *aborts mission and goes back to raiding shipwrecks in java miencraft*)
