Username/Nickname: The Wild One, Daughter of Pan

User ID: 132384

Pronouns?:They

What kind of nerd are you? (music, math, video games, etc.): I am a big gigantic and massive Nature Nerd! I am also a Harry Potter nerd, Divergent nerd, Hunger Games nerd, music nerd, book nerd (or book worm XD), coding nerd, math nerd and science nerd. Probs missed some. :D

Notable Achievements (for fun, it can be anything you're proud of lol):
When I was young I swallowed a 5 cent coin . . . . . . O_O
I know these completely useless facts and stuff:
Rubber bands last longer when refrigerated.
Peanuts are one of the ingredients of dynamite.
The national anthem of Greece has 158 verses. No one in Greece has memorized all 158 verses.
There are 293 ways to make a change for a dollar.
A shark is the only fish that can blink with both eyes.
No word in the English language rhymes with month, silver or purple.
Dreamt is the only English word that ends in the letters mt.
All 50 states are listed across the top of the Lincoln Memorial on the back of the $5 note.
A cat has 32 muscles in each ear.
An ostrichs eye is bigger than its brain.
I also have memorized 31 digits of Pi: 3.141592653589793238462643383279 . . . . . . . (I am working on getting to 40 :D)
I can also pronounce and spell the longest word any of the MAJOR English dictionaries: pneumonoultramicroscopicsilicovolcanoconiosis
The longest word in the English LANGUAGE has 189,819 letters and would take you three and a half hours to pronounce. It is the chemical name of Titin (or connectin). You would have to say Supercalifragilisticexpialidocious over 5000 times to come close to the letter count.
I can code in python and binary.
I know heaps of codes and ciphers. (Enigma, Steganography, Ceasar Shift Cipher, ROT1, Transposition, Morse code etc.)
Probs missed some useless info I know XD

Pinglist?: Yea

Color Hex: 7DFF00 I am a sucker for green. :) (Soz if you can't actually read what it says. I have many shades of green that are my fave. I love pretty much any green. :))

Title, because titles: The Wild One, Daughter of Pan

Other?: Some of my favourite quotes
"Look deep into nature, and then you will understand everything better." - Albert Einstein
"The music is not in the notes, but in the silence in between." - Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart
"If you always do what you always did, you will always get what you always got" - Albert Einstein
"If you truly love nature, you will find beauty everywhere." - Vincent Van Gogh
I have only listed as a few as I could go on forever! XD

As much as I can remeber of the Greek National Anthem. (No where near all 158 verses. Couldn't write in Greek so I have only listed the English)
I know you of old
Oh divinely restored,
By the light of your eyes
And the edge of your sword.

From the graves of our people
Shall your spirit prevail
As we greet you again-
Hail, Liberty, Hail!

Long did you dwell
Amid the peoples that mourn
Awaiting some voice
That should tell you to return
Ah, slow broke that day
and no man dared call,
For the shadow of tyranny
Lay over all.

Oh, unfortunate one!
The only consolation you had
were the past glories,
and remembering them you cried.

Long you have awaited
for a freedom-loving call
and in despair one hand
hits the other one.
And you cried:
ah! When do I raise my head
in this desolate land?
and the answer was chains, cries so sad.

Then you shifted your gaze
tearfully, clouded in haze
and on your garment dripped blood
from your children's tortured hearts.

With blood-stained clothes
I know for a fact
that you secretly sought help
in stronger hands of foreign lands.
On your journey you started alone
and alone you came back
doors do not easily open
when you need them so bad.

Someone cried on your breast,
but no response at its best;
another promised you help,
but he tricked you no less.

Some, allas! in your misfortune rejoice
and with such a cold poise
"go find your children" said they
as doors were shut in your face.
The foot slips and slides
and in such a haste it steps
on stone, or grass
reminders of a glorious past.

The miserable head shamefully leans
and the image it brings
is of a poor beggar, going door to door
with no interest in life any more.

Yet, behold now the sons
with impetuous breath
Go forth to the fight
seeking freedom or death.

From the graves of our people
shall the spirit prevail
as we greet you again-
Hail, Liberty, Hail!

It's all good

I expect things to change *finger guns*

All part of of progress, right?

SO there was a guy who went about 20-30 website trying to find the best deal for a pressure cooker, came to find out the FBI was tracking him because they thought he might be trying to blow something up with them

Also Zipf's Law- The second-most common thing in a series occurs half as often as the first, third a third as often, the fourth a fourth, and so on, decreasing exponentially with each successive item on the list
Using this method, which can apply to everything (words typed in a book, bugs in a computer) it can be concluded that by solving 20% of the solutions, 80% of a problem can be solved. Actually, I do a poor job of explaining these, let this guy give you an existential crisis-

That sounds like something that would happen to me, honestly
Had my 100th existential crisis this week.
Also, I willingly took an optional math test, and everyone was like, "Tryharrrrrd"

Pfft

they don't understand the joys of math

in a world filled with exceptions without explanation and willy nilly rules and boundaries, 2+2 will always equal 4 (there's a fake formula where it 'can equal five', but you can clearly see a mistake in it). there's a reason for every exception, not just i before e except after c (which also has exceptions) just because someone said so. Math is something to lean on. And the possibilities aren't as finite as our material expectations of reality. we literally have a symbol for endless numerical value!

*cough* so yeah i like math

actually had to teach my math class once because we had a substitute for two class periods, the first of which we learned new material and on the second we had a test on it ;w; felt good to feel smart

I TA'd for a math class (because being a tryhard I was doing Algebra 2 in middle school) and the teacher made me answer the kids' questions when I was trying to do my homework xD This is why I will never be a teacher, I doubt myself too much.
Also, nice wings.
