I was wondering, I can't have any pets over lvl 59 to have any Candy Hearts drop from Astryl's Tranquility & Sweet Blossom Orchard?

Correct.

I've been trying to think of how I could incorporate something to allow higher leveled pets while maintaining balance but have been unable to find a good solution.

The issue is, those with powerful 60-70 pets can literally just one shot an entire trio of enemies in those 2 zones. I tried to balance the 'time of acquisition' accordingly between all the realms (Nurturing, TLG battling, AT battling, and SBO battling). They aren't 100% balanced as there are pros and cons to all of the different areas and that comes into play as well.

The biggest thing is we just have so many explore systems atm it's really hard to do things that span across them. They are just so vastly different from one another. It's almost impossible to balance.

A lower level area could be dungeons and getting candy from dungeons. They are reset every 22 - 24 hours so it's not like people can hoard a ton of candy from them. Whether people can one shot through them or not wouldn't be as big of an issue because of the time limits already built into dungeons. And people with higher level pets who aren't quite ready to take on the Lost Grove's three big named could also benefit from this.

Same thing with Umbra's daily quests. They already have time limits built into them, and they are available earlier in the game. Maybe one candy per quest completed per day. Whether people can one shot through them or not wouldn't be as big of a deal, too, since the max amount of candies per day is 6.

Maybe missions could have a random chance to get candies, with more difficult missions (by rarity color) having a higher chance of bringing back candies. Missions are introduced pretty early on in the game so newbies could benefit from this, too. They may not have as many mission slots, but it would be another activity besides nurturing that they could do.

Maybe it's not perfect or balanced, but it would definitely give some options to those with lower-level pets and who haven't gotten to the areas with proper maps.

That is a good suggestion. Thank you.

I went ahead and added a Candy Heart reward for clearing the Dungeons. Unfortunately, I can't do anything about ones already cleared today so if you've already cleared it today, I'm sorry. But at least you'll get them tomorrow. =P

I just beat DotF with a lv63 team, and I got a heart (through trades, not as a proper drop from Vierna or the final chest). I'm going to tentatively say there's no level cap...? ('cos a cap of lv60 or so would seem to make sense there).

Only Krin could confirm for sure, though.

Edit: I just positively stormed the Nightfall Bandit Dungeon with the same lv63 team, and I still got a heart. I don't think there's a limit. :P

Nope.

Since it's limited to once per day per dungeon, there are no restrictions.
