Kandir | 70 | Kingdom of Vathia (City Gates)
I shift from foot to food and fidget with my arm bangles as I wait for us or the strangers to continue on our way. I wave to Lady Cassandra when I know I've caught her eye. I hope she wants to come with us, then it wouldn't be some random lizard, a guard, and the prince with a blacksmith that has a magical-ish gun. The chances of being attacked are pretty high, in my eyes anyway.

"I know, but I cannot help but worry for you safety." I sigh as I relax my stance and take the time to look around at all the people gathered around and near the monster. I see the girl with the bow and Kandir wave so I give them each a small nod of acknowledgement. I glance over at the Setzial that killed the beast to gauge his intentions after his less than respectful response to Prince Damien.

"...yer a prince, eh?" Aaron tilts his head to reassess the birdman standing next to him, "should'a figured. Ye 'ave that pre'y-boy look t'ya."
Not waiting for a reply, he crouches down next to the body and prods it with a blade, "This 'ere beastie's rather got bre'vren all o'er th'place. Seen 'em about, I 'ave; the nasty li'l buggers."

Damien looked between Kandir and Cassandra for a moment before relenting with a relaxed, defeated slack of his wings. "Fine. I don't see the harm in you coming along, especially as it's beginning to get late. I would not want any harm to come to Kandir should we be delayed in our travels any further."
He gave a wave to Wren and Asteria.
"Best of luck to you two in your own travels. I hope your stay in the kingdom is much more pleasant than the road has been."

Armand wretched the lizard's arm away from the dissipating flare of magic off the beast's now visible black bones, sighing.
Damien I 70 HP I Kingdom of Vathia (City Gates)
"Pardon.. Pretty boy?" He turned to the lizard, only to catch his guard holding him away from the disintegrating husk of the beast's corpse. "Thank you, Armand. You can let him go. By the way, those beasts are rather poisonous. I don't suggest trying to get too nosy with them or their corpses unless you have a healthy amount of medicine or antitoxins on hand."

Wren blinks, stepping a safe distance from the now mostly nonexistent beast and ignoring the probably also noble woman looking at him. "Er, sorry, what was that about staying in the kingdom?" Almost as an afterthought, he adds, "Does killing a bunch of them count as nosy?"

She gets out of the group's way hoping that once they passed she could go into the city without many more problems.

"I suppose that really depends. You would be bringing yourself well into harm's way.. If you are prepared to deal with that much, it would not be right to dissuade you." He gave a smile to the beastman. "Ah. Well. You came this far towards the kingdom.. I assumed you were just trying to pass through as most travelers here do. If it's your first time here, it might be worth your time to tour around."
He motioned covertly to Armand to start walking.

"Wait please sirs I understand if you do not trust me since I know I wouldn't in this situation but may I go along with you to help? That and I need to learn more about these creature who will most likely show up," Asteria says trying to hide her other reason. She was not eager to go into another city since she enjoyed being outdoors more.

As the party moved forward, passing through the Forest of Eden, a low snarling could be heard in the distance. An overgrown beast, far larger than the one that had been killed outside the city, had reared its head out of the trees, acid dripping off its teeth as it let out a booming warning bark, crouching as it prepared to pounce.
Armand I 60 HP I Forest of Eden
Armand drew his sword and stepped in front of Damien, prepared to defend him.
Damien I 70 HP I Forest of Eden
Damien made no sudden movements, steadying his breath as the beast eyed the group hungrily.
