Asteria - 60 HP - Old Ruins

Asteria goes to search near the edge of the forest, "Thanks for the tip."
She tries to find a large gem so the group could get out of that creepy place. While searching Asteria also looks for any clues that could possibly lead to the creature's point of origin.

There didn't seem to be any direct visual clues to where the monsters had been coming from, but the sounds of snarling could be heard further into the underground area of the ruins. The entrance seemed blocked off enough, but for creatures of shadow.. It was probably safe to say it wasn't holding them long term.

Damien I 70 HP I Old Ruins
Damien gave a glance to the ruins before resuming his search for a large stone. He had found one after a few minutes search, hefting it up with some help from Armand. "This'll do."

Asteria - 60 HP - Old Ruins

Asteria looks deeper into the ruins, "Let's go then."
She was curious about the creatures but at the same time she had no desire to fight them again.

Aaron - 60/70 - Ruins

Tilting his head toward the prince, Aaron gives him a dubious look, "Well, weren't tha' uh, rather an'iclimactic, don'cha think?" He scuffs his feet on the ground and stoops to pick up some rocks - some gem fragments, some just regular old rocks for whatever reason - to slip into yet another pocket in his coat. Giving himself a slight nod of approval, he turns to the rest of the group but only addresses the pretty boy, "A'right, guv, where t'next, eh?"

Damien I 70 HP I Old Ruins
"Anticlimactic? No, I'd say we've all been smiled upon by the heavens to have not encountered any more trouble." Damien gave a smile to Aaron. He turned to head back to the forest with the stone clutched in hand when he felt a tremor echo through the ground far down below. He reflexively sprawled his wings out defensively as the cave in on the ruins cleared, leaving it opened for entry once again. He shot a look back at the party, inspecting the area and everyone for any any injuries.
The snarling that had echoed through the area had grown quiet, leaving the place painfully quiet once more.

Sven, 160HP, Somewhere thats still Vathia.

The day after your initial encounter with the...royal thief? Anyway, after that, you binge read the necromancy book. Basically-- you've been walking around all day with a book constantly in your hand, trying to avoid social interaction.

The coin the woman gave you is safely tucked into your watch pocket to avoid being accidentally mixed up with your actual coins. It took you a minute to calm down from the life threatening encounter-- but your good now! You're chill! Yes it is you. The chillest guy ever.

But for realsies, yeah no, you're trying not to stress over it. Instead diving deeper into the pages-- hoping it'll release you its secrets. However, you accidentally grabbed another book, you haven't touched it yet but if you recall correctly, it was the one with a handwritten account by the king.

Interesting but you'd read it later. Learning about dead things must be prioritized!

The book was filled with a collection of various necromatic spells and technical descriptions of their use, along with various descriptions and drawings of undead beings.
While most of the spells seemed to require quite the mastery of dark magic or demonic pacts to source for power, one of the pages included details on how to begin necromancy and even on how to steal lifeforce from the living.

Armand I 60 HP I Old Ruins
"Nothing here. Your Highness?"

Damien I 70 HP I Old Ruins
"I'm quite alright. The tremor only startled me is all. It appears there was some sort of earthquake centralized inside the ruins. My guess would be that there was a rockfall of some sort."

Armand I 60 HP I Old Ruins
"Or something moved from the inside." Armand muttered sardonically.

Damien I 70 HP I Old Ruins
Damien shook his head. "Don't be ridiculous, Armand. All that is down there is just bones. The ruins were excavated thoroughly years ago."

Asteria-60-Old Ruins

"That's where the creatures might be coming from,'' Asteria mutters quietly trying to reason something out, "it makes sense since it was excavated and no one would come here without a good reason. Plus the creatures are mainly furthur away from the kingdom. And there was that growling.''
