"Well I have never been to a Dwarven city before, so I guess let's head that direction then. I really had no set plan or destination, but that gives us a plan. So let us head that direction, or whichever direction it is to a Dwarven city. Thank you, Niala, for all of your help. Com on, Ragna, let us get going...er....umm....which way should we strike out?"

She gives the older woman a bow of the head in a show of thanks and respect then turning towards the door, a quick check on her new friend, and they are off and away.

Backstory: Lisette lived her days as an average villager in a small town near the core of a kingdom. She lived quietly as a shy girl until she met a boy her age named Travis that had an adventurer's heart. Through him, she had a taste of exploration, hunts, childish combat, magic tricks, and basic survival, though it seemed unbecoming of her compared to her childhood friend, a boy of a stronger build. One day, the kingdom sent out a royal mage to the countryside to recruit children with untapped magical talent, and when the mage came to her town, Travis was offered an invitation to be trained by the nation's finest mages and knights to serve the kingdom because of his magic potential. But the invitation was not extended to Lisette, who only showed mediocre talent.

Travis promised to come back once he was stronger, telling Lisette that once they were "grown up", they could go on an adventure together. And while Lisette waited for him, she became his shadow, exploring the forests and nearby regions of their town and learning how to fend and survive on her own and with other children her age. She harassed retired adventurers to learn skills from them and begged her parents to let her go to magic school in the kingdom to cultivate whatever magical talent she had into something useful. Lisette, despite not having strong and intense magical powers, became a versatile mage that was a jack of all trades for her different skills.

Six years passed, and now Lisette was a late-aged teen, primed to be her childhood friend's best adventuring partner. Alas, no word came from Travis, no letters from the kingdom nor did he visit their hometown. Feeling as if she had something to prove, she left on her own to have an adventure of her own, hoping that if she ever came back, she'd have something to show to Travis that she wasn't just an average girl anymore.
