The library is large and has several diffent genres of books and a calm, quiet atmosphere. The librarian glances at you before going back to working. The museum on the other hand has a class of kids visiting it. So it's loud, slightly crazy, but still has lots of places to do research at and maybe an expert on whatever subject you're looking for. On the map there are six different restraunts one of which was marked by Detective Jones: An Italian restraunt, a French restraunt, a fast food place, a home style cooking, an Indian restraunt, and the one Detective Jones circled a Mexican restraunt. On her note off to the side: Amazing Chilaquiles, Elote (corn on the cob), and Tamales.

She'd think about food later, but for now it was time to try and find old newspapers. She hurried over to the librarian desk. "um excuse me?" she asked trying her best to sound polite. Essentially putting on the face she put on for most of her clients. "You wouldn't happen to have newspaper records dating back to say... 100 years ago would you?" she asked .
After getting something to eat and when it is nightfall you go back to the manor grounds. There are still police just not as many as before but there is more police tape. The manor is even creepier at night being dark for the most part but some of the house is still lit up from the inside. As the light moves around the house it's easy to tell you're not the only one who wanted to check the manor at night question is who else is there? Will you try to sneak inside, look outside for clues, or try something else for the time being?

I decide to scout the outside for clues for a little bit, maybe the person inside will leave in the meantime, if I'm lucky enough- plus, might as well do something while it's fairly quiet, because I don't know if I'll get another chance to look around outside. It's totally not because I'm apprehensive about going inside the creepy manor.

The librarian looks at you suspiciously, "We might I'll need to check. If you don't mind my asking is everyone intrested in the Blackwell's Island murder because of the contest? You're not the first and I doubt you'll be the last today." She goes to check for the newspaper, "I have back to 1890 but you'll hae to sort through them using the machine." She shows you how to use it before going back to work.

The manor grounds are eerily quiet and the police tape moved slightly in the wind. The light keeps moving while you investigate the grounds. There are many footsteps from police, you, and other people. It seems the police have covered almost every inch of ground near the manor but who knows you might see something they missed. After about an hour you find a clue a torn cornor of a paper of some kind. It's oviously quiet old and if you hadn't found it the paper probally would have dissolved. What little you can make out is the letter 'I'.

"okayyyyy then" she hadn't gotten a chance to reply about the blackwell island murder, but at least she had resources. "so ... early 1900's... prohibition. Great" she muttered to herself knowing full well that the lists would get long. She slid out her notebook and started sorting through to the 1900's, starting at January 1921.

The newspapers don't have much on Blackwell's Island aside from a minor note that the asylum would be getting a donation. Prohibition, Women's Right to vote, and several other news wortly articles were there. Though oddly the articles Nellie Bly had written were missing.

I think I'll make an... attempt to find a restaurant first, as I haven't eaten in a while (whoops! that's on me) and it might be a good place to mull things over.

I pick up the piece of paper and inspect it, trying to discern whether the letter seems to have been written by hand or printed, as in possibly torn out of a book- or whether it seems to have been connected to other letters or simply written on its own.

The "I" is handwritten in a distantive cursive. It's difficult to tell if it was out of a notebook or if it was just a letter written by itself. The light from the police officer inside goes dark and there is the sound of a car pulling up in the drive way. A faint growl can be heard as the car parks nearby and it sounds like Detective Rookie's voice can be heard trying to get the dog to find you. Knowing that Detective Rookie doesn't like bounty hunters, warned you not to interfer, and not to tresspass here it's best to say if he catches you this won't end well. What do you want to do?
