At the word truce Bluebell stiffens. She runs through all of her memories of her history lessons and exercises. However, she often skipped them to play some game or trick on others. She wants to ask more but her tummy rumbles and she remembers that she hasn't eaten since lunch yesterday. Squirming with hunger she tries her best to surpass the hunger and get more Intel from the aurleon seeing as her normal running off has brought more and more trouble upon her fortune.

(Very sorry for the delay, I'm starting to hate the back-to-back events.)

West

The male aurleon somehow hears Bluebell's stomach growling, and he seems to smile a little. "Ah, you must be hungry. There's a few berry bushes at the bottom of this tree, and seeing as my lady isn't here to tell you off I don't see why you can't just help yourself. But you know, the truce that was drawn up between the First Flock and the Nest?" He sees the quizzical looks and continues, after turning one of the eggs, "We shared territory and occasionally hunted each other in the early days, back when the forests were rich enough to sustain us all in one place. One old diplomatic Queen made peace with most of the Sylesti species in those lands, one by one. There are even myths from the old days about when we fought side-by side against avatars. But for years and years since then, Sylesties might fight Sylesties, but the vorkids would only scavenge in their wake."

Misha enters the clearing where she last saw the pup. The pup is missing, the zolnixi is missing, and she can smell a third, unfamiliar zolnixi. A path is crushed down through the underbrush away from the clearing, and it seems to lead toward the screaming aurleon she'd seen earlier.

The pup thinks, feeling unsure as how to respond. She doesn't understand the words, but Bluebell's tone is inviting. The Aurleon, however, scares the poop out of her and she backs up faster than she ever has in her life. She does it quietly, though, so Bluebell cannot immediately know that she's reacted that way. She crouches low, several feet away, not wanting to be alone but not willing to come forward.

Bluebell is hesitant at first as eating would lower her guard and she is not sure she can trust any of the adults. But her belly grumbles and she takes a step forward. She tries to potition herself at an angle to still see everyone. Forgetting her manners for a moment she manages to say "First Flock?" between mouthfuls

(Agh, delayed again! Sorry.)

West

The other zolnixi joins Bluebell at the berry bush, and begins to explain. "The First Flock, First Pack, First Herd, whatever sylesti it might pertain to. Most myths agree that in the earliest days after the fall of the avatars, the most of each species in this area were each part of a single unified species-specific group. As populations and conflict grew, most split off into smaller groups. I believe the only mostly-intact Firsts to this day are the morkkos, sylvorpas, and our very distant cousins, the vorkids." The aurleon above nods in affirmation and turns another egg, and the older zolnixi continues. "However, most of the alliances and feuds made in the early days are still intact, because despite our separation we are still much the same."

Misha hurries down the trail, nose near the ground. She bursts into a clearing, noticing that it's the same one that she saw the aurleon nest in. The pup is backed away from and looking up at the tree and nest, in which a different, male aurleon now sits. The little lupora seems fine, and the male is non-threateningly preening, so you turn your attention to the others. The blue winged female zolnixi she'd seen earlier is eating berries next to a new male zolnixi, orange and green, graying a bit around the muzzle.

Raika's attention snaps to the rustling brush and she sees the Morkko. She skirts the nest carefully, making her way over. "M...Mommy?"

Bluebell stiffens unsure if it is the little one's real mother or the morko from before. Ether way the pup should be safe for now. But she is still a little nervous with so many adults around. She would make a run for it but all of her escapes both land and flight would be pursuable by a least one of the adults none of whom she trust yet. She decides to offer a few berries to the little one to be seen as a comrade to the arriving beast.

Misha relaxes at seeing the lupora pup, mentally thanking the deities for it's safety. The two zolnixi so close to the pup make her nervous, but they haven't hurt the pup yet so she decides to give them both the benefit of the doubt.

Her heart melts slightly when the little pup cries out, and she carefully looks the pup over for injuries. "No little one, I want to find your mom. She must be worried about you."
