(I'm fine with any level of gore)

The female turned her gaze to where the aurleon disappeared and then to the egg. Neither of them know which - dangerous - creature was trying to survive inside of the shell, but Aldaz, for now, do what she know. She lay down on the grass, embrace the egg with her arms and pull it to her chest, covering it with her plumage and wings.
"It's dangerous move it right now, it may end it's life" said, looking at the faelora, then move her head to search the object dropped by the bird ", but we can use that ribbon." She pointed to the ribbon that was at the foot of a tree, where it fell.
She was trying to think how to move the egg to the orchard, but part of her felt uncomfortable, perhaps the gazes she felt before, or the eerie warning of the aurleon, which was still inside her head. What kind of creature can be inside that egg? She thought looking at the damaged egg. She studied the small areas where the shell had been lost. There was no blood, so no vein was broken, and she can see the egg wasn't open yet, it could survive (or not).

Misha remains crouched in the shadows, grateful that the mother and her eggs seem to have gotten away unharmed. She briefly considers confronting the vorkids, but quickly decides that information is more valuable. It would be good to have something to report.

Hoping the little Lupora she had left would be able to stay hidden, Misha stealthily follows the trio of vorkids from a distance. (if they do nothing for 45 minutes or so she will take note of their direction and turn back)

(Fine with blood and guts)
Raika shows up at a safe distance, curious. She left her hideout a few hours after the only ones she had been able to trust disappeared. She wanted to find them, and the wind and what little she could see suggests she's gaining. The Aurleon's cry scares her somewhat, though, keeping her from advancing further or making any noise.

(Sorry for the delay, we were a bit busy. Thanks for responding about the gore, though.)

East

The feeling of being watched seems to recede as Aldaz curls around the egg. A little bit of fluid leaks out of one of the cracks in the shell, and you gently turn the egg to try to keep it inside. Artemis brings the ribbon over, noting that it's almost a meter long and quite sturdy (those aurleons must like to keep their legs quite warm) and the two of you wait by the egg. The other birdsong and forest sounds slowly return.

After a few minutes, Artemis notes that the egg seems a bit warmer and more stable (and has stopped leaking). It's still daytime. Perhaps you could find a way to move the egg towards the orchard now?

(Sorry for the delay as well.)

West

The zolnixi that Bluebell sees seems somewhat unfamiliar, in colors of muted green and orange, quite nondescript. It seems older, as it is graying slightly around the muzzle, and its stance is light, as ready to run as to leap at something. It tilts its head slightly to look up at you and catches your gaze questioningly.

The screaming stops, and the forest gradually stirs out of hiding. Raika stands silently in a copse of bushes around the tree where the mother aurleon fusses over her eggs. Her (Hunter's Snout) tell her that the morkko came here, but went off in a south-eastern direction.

Misha stalks after the vorkids, who are scuttling along suprisingly quickly yet stealthily in a south-eastern direction. Until the Venomspitter trips, of course. The Shadowhunter signs in irriatation, gesturing to the smaller Pouncer, Go home. We will check the next nest ourselves. The Venomspitter signs back, fearfully, I can help, it's just--just nerves, the next time-- It is cut off by a quick smack from the Shadowhunter. Don't be absurd. Report back to the Nest, mark off those three aurleons. Your clumsiness will not compromise the Queen! The Pouncer, who's also stopped, signs gently, He's right, you know. We can do this ourselves. You can serve the Nest better by helping with repairs than out here, panicking.

Somehow expressing dejection, the Venomspitter walks off to the north-east, presumably toward the Nest they were discussing, while the Pouncer and Shadowhunter continue, determined, toward the south-east and maybe another family of Aurleons. After a minute of observation, you determine their destinations are quite far apart.

Torn, Misha pauses a moment before deciding to follow the lone Venomspitter. She gets as close as she can, and launches an attack as soon as the other Vorkids are out of range. She is attempting to pin rather than kill.

(Sorry this isn't as descriptive as my normal. And yes, gore is fine)

Artemis looked down at the ribbon which the Aurleon has dropped, "Maybe we could use the ribbon to help carry the egg." Artemis knew that the egg was far to large for her to carry without quite a bit of assistance but perhaps Aldaz could carry it in some way. "Or if we could find a leaf big enough..." Mid sentence Artemis realised that there probably werent any large leaves in the area.

Bluebell thinks the zolnixi is asking if she is alone. Before answering, she looks at the place the pup was to realize it left without her knowledge. She sighs if she lost the little one that marko would definitely start a fight if they crossed paths again. with no other option she abandons the safety of her perch to search for the little one.

Aldaz looked around to find something to carry the egg when an obvious idea comes to her mind. She saw the egg and then the faelora, and almost crawling, she stand up and started walking towards the tree closest to her. "Take care of it."
With her claws she climb up and started to search for branches, looking for those with the strongest and most curved shape. She ripped off a few that met her expectations and then go back where the acolyte and the egg was, with her beak full of differents branches. At first she thought to made a nest -a really sturdy and comfortable one -, but it would take her some hours, and this forest was not exactly the more confort place to stay until the nest was finished. All she could think of was that it had to be done to load-drag the egg, and secure it with the ribbon - wanting to keep that ribbon for herself -.
Aldaz stacked some of the branches, crisscrossed them between them, and then took the egg with her hands, careful to not nail her claws in it, tucking it into the nest, then tied up the ribbon around the base of the branches (if wrapping it around the branches could be called tying it). "Ready" she said, holding with her beak the makeshift nest, ready to drag it to the orchard. She hoped they could get to there before nightfall.

(I had to make some assumptions about your backstories and have you do a few things for...plot, if it's anything you're not okay with please tell me. Fish, small songbirds, small rodents, and actual insects exist alongside Sylesti here.

Also...have you noticed that in the generator information, while faes are only about a foot taller than nytes, they weigh over 500 pounds more?

As for the lunes not having ears/tongues...they have a sign language to communicate with other sylesti, but they can also read lips.)

East

Makeshift nest secured with ribbon in Aldaz's beak, the two of you set off toward the orchard. The river burbles happily as you travel along it and the sun travels across the sky. It had been a few years since Aldaz last visited the remains of the orchard, and Artemis had never been there, having come from the west. For Aldaz, though, it's a place of happy memories--lying in the branches of the slightly scrawny apple trees, lying on the shores of the murky pond, eating the few semi-ripe apples that did grow during those summers. It was almost a wild orchard, certainly not tended, rife with weeds and beetles, but it was the best orchard Aldaz had ever known, and she told Artemis so.

Though you experience no more interruptions, you spot a few Sylesti foraging or patrolling. They leave you be. Every once in awhile, Aldaz feels as though she is being watched. Artemis doesn't, though. Whenever they stop to rest, every few hours, she also stops to listen to the distant but nearing voices of healthy carefree apple trees, laden with fruit and competing with and lacking for nothing. From what she could hear, the orchard did sound like a nice place.

You trot down an overgrown path, past the muddy lake, and can see the shadows of the trees when a red-eyed lunemara in muted tones flutters onto the path and faces you, hovering. His eyes narrow when he sees you, and he signs with his spindly mantis limbs, Who are you? Why are you here?

He then seems to see the nest Aldaz is holding, and his eyes widen. In a slightly kindlier tone, focused on the egg, We mean you no harm, if you mean none to us. Our colony would provide shelter for an expectant mother in need.

Though the lunemara is slight, only two feet long and weighing only a fraction of Aldaz and far less than Artemis does, his wings fill the path and his head tilts, expecting an answer.
