I'm glad that the issue of price depreciation on rare pets was brought up. This has been something that's been bothering me for quite some time. They can't really even be considered "rare" any more. I can buy a lighira for the same price as a sylvorpa the way things are right now.
I also find it odd that diamond shop prices for fabled pet essences are the same price as all the other essences. It seems to me that they should be more expensive? It would probably help the value of the pets themselves increase.
And it's not just rare pets that are undervalued, either. The entire pet market is ridiculously under priced. Any player who wants to focus solely on breeding as their source of income is going to be pretty poor. For a virtual pet game, the pets themselves sure aren't worth very much.

I would never discourage generosity; it's one of my favorite things about this site! But I think there's a line that needs to be drawn somewhere.

I'm not much of a Puff, Neph, or Ny've person, but I don't like the dropping prices on supposedly rare pets either. Because of that I also give my oath that if I ever get any I will not sell them for less than they should be worth.
