(YEAH!? ... Oh...)
(Pinged both of you this time again. :3)
(*ahem, ahem*)

The announcer looks at the two of you, sizing you up. "Well, it could be worse." He huffed. Whoops, seems like you offended someone and you don't even know how.

Your mentor walks up, flashing each of you a smile. "Don't listen to that guy. Bored of his job; wishes something would happen over here, and not like last time. So, you little urchins. Let's go get something to eat, yeah?" He asks, gently prodding you both off the stage.

The last time, the lights had exploded, and everyone ran away, so they could only go to the tributes houses and ask for the parents to give up their children. There was a certain reason everyone was kept away from their houses and weapons.

Your mentor had rich brown hair was neat, but it could use another hair cut. He wasn't wearing flashy stuff like other mentors and announcers. Instead, his dark green shirt with a black jacket on top complimented the naturally faded jeans which were spotted with some random dried splashes of paint. It really brought out his dark blue and green eyes. (If I find a picture, I might as well post it here *shrugs* It's another problem if it doesn't show up. :P)

You don't know much of this guys history, but just enough to know that he never liked creating tech things, but would prefer to sketch and be out in nature. You're pretty sure his name is Robert.

"Well, with that...unexpected factor in the way, let's move on to our male tribute!" The speaker tried to get someone to smile, but no one was. The silence went on. Someone coughed.
A small group off to the side raised their fist in a sign of standing by you. Silent, but support either way.

The announcer gave a short sigh that made the loud speakers squeal. Everyone put a hand over their ears. The other they kept open to hear the male tribute.

"And the other tribute is... Sam Halter!" More silence, but what else could be expected.

A boy around 17 bounced up on stage, a scared look in his blue eyes, but other than that, he did well to hide it. He bit his lip, and stared out in the crowd, lights catching on the tears that threatened to fall down his face. It seemed that he wasn't really the big 17 year old 6' 7" sort of person that was powerful and knocked stuff easily out of the way. He acted almost like a child would...but that was silly to think, right? Anyone and everyone was now an enemy.

I studied the other tribute. He was big and tall, and certainly stronger and more powerful than me. But even though I was small, barely brushing 5' 3", I was probably faster than him, as well as more nimble and agile. I wouldn't want to face him in open combat. Instead, I would wait for someone else to kill him, or use arrows or an age from a distance or up in a tree.
Hmm, waiting on a tree branch and dropping down onto another tribute would give me an advantage. I could-
Oh gods, I thought, horrified with myself. You haven't even left the Theater and you're already thinking about how you can win.
There weren't any tears left in my eyes as I followed the speaker and the Capitol woman into the catacombs beneath the Theater.

Robert looked amused at the two of you. "Step three: Think of a different plan, including but not limited too - an escape route that brings you away from the other entrance of the hole; having plenty of distractions to keep others at bay; do not light a fire if there are others around that are certain enemies, or when there is open sky above you or flammable things around; listening to anything and being alert for everything; keeping your wits about you-"
He shrugged and cut off his list as he noticed two of the four guards that were 'escorting' you to a train glaring at him. "Well, I can't tell you much otherwise they'll have me executed." Robert gave a airy laugh, but you could almost tell it was filled with dread.

(Choose one thing out of all the things you could have. ... I might have to say no to some op things...depends. :) Good luck.)

Robert shrugged. "Well, government has to be strict because otherwise people will be doing what ever they want." He was looking at you, but his gaze was in a different time.
"Well, I'll leave you two to say good byes to those that loved you and all...Thirty minutes and the people visiting will be out, no need to worry." He said, but his voice was full of worry.

"Yeah," said Minerva absentmindedly.
(Erm, headphones? Too sophisticated?)
