(Oh yay! Grey is back!
There's not much to recap. Mostly Scarlet, Jay, and Hunter are just trying to find their way back outside and the other group are trying to communicate.)

Mrs. Mouse jumped at Grey's sudden input. "My dear! You've been so quiet I thought we lost you! Or perhaps we did? But now is the perfect moment for a wolf." She scurried over, though stayed careful of Grey's rather large paws. "I think any kind of howl would do to let them know where we are. Though if you were to make a sound something more like...when a pack member finds a nice meal? That would let them know we're on the right track. If they find this room from the outside, we could even see them through the skylight!" She wasn't sure if the message would reach, but at least it was worth a shot.

"Hunter, you're talking far too much again," Jay complained. Now that they were all together, he didn't think it would be hard to find their way back to the other passageway. He knew how these halls worked. However, it did seem that they were...lost again. "Stop, stop!" he called. "I think we really have passed this tree before. It's not marked but...Ugh, it worked before because we went where the Menagerie didn't want us to go, but now we have something particular we want to find. When I marked this on the map before, I'm sure there were more halls!"

Scarlet's ears perk up, "What if we didn't know where we wanted to go? Maybe follow what the Menagerie does not want us to go again." Sniffing the air Scarlet walks toward the opposit end of the halls, "Trust me please because if this works we can get out and if not no harm no foul right?"

"That'll work. Just like how i can sleep thorugh the whole night." Night muttered. Loki lightly slapped him iwht his tail.

Hunter paused. "So, we go opposite of what we want?" He inquired, a tiny bit confused. He was after all only, what, ten years old?

"I am sorry. I had no intention of startling any of you..."
She paused and growled at herself, shaking her head. "Keep it together, Grey," she muttered.
Then she straightened. "Ok... a howl..." She shifted her paws, nervous all of a sudden. It wasn't like she howled all the time, and for this need. She started to howl.
(What if there was like a wolf pack, with completely wolf wolves, that answers her call?)

"Yes," Scarlet answers, "follow the maze and hope for the best."

"Follow the maze... It can walk? You know, I'll just follow you." Hunter smiles apologetically. "Sorry I don't understand it all. Or if I'm troubling."

"It's okay," Scarlet accepts the apology as she keeps walking. "The maze can move but not walk. Sorry if that confuses you."

((I'm sure if there are wolves out there, they would definitely answer!))

Jay offered his best approximation of a bird smile. He wasn't sure how that came out though. "Of course I trust you, Scarlet. I trust you both quite a bit," he added. Because even if Hunter was a bit of a mess, he was a good guy. "I think you should lead this time then. I can't go anywhere but where I want to go, so if you can..." He swung his wing out, offering for her to take the lead.

Mrs. Mouse had to resist the urge to clap her hands since that was hardly a dignified thing to do. Oh, but what a sound a wolf's howl was. She could hear it rocketing around the room and down through the halls, surely reaching through all the space of the Menagerie-- if it had such a thing as limited space. Prey animals shrieked, birds took flight, and another set of howls answered back.

Oh. "That is...an unforeseen obstacle. We've been answered."

Scarlet smiles as she dips her head once, "Thank you for the vote of confidence Jay. Let's just walk and see where that takes us prehaps?" Her tails waves slowly in rythem with the steps of her paws. Cold, wet nose twitching as she sniffs the air seeking out a scent.

"Knew it." Night yawned and curled up into another ball. Loki rolled his eyes. Or did the cat equivalent of it anyway.
