"That's an amazing idea!" I exclaim, taking the vines and attempting to weave them into a sort of basket, one over one and under the next.

He scratches his chin, still avoiding your gaze. "I, uh... we wait until other people start talking about it! Yes! Then, if lots of people are reporting sightings of the Onyx Moon Clan, people will have to listen."

He looks back to where Crimson disappeared moments before. "Should we... go after her now? Or are these creatures coming all the way to us, across the road?" he points as another heavy-laden cart trundles past, horses stomping hooves and raising dust.

You pass a stall selling swords, that seem to shimmer in the morning light.

"Enchanted swords!" the vendor calls. "Channel your magic through them to fight with renewed power and strength! All mighty warriors start their journey with their blade."

The swords are made from a fine metal, pure and strong - from what you can see. Runes are carved along their length, dark and lifeless. As a customer comes over, the vendor lifts one up and waves his hand over it. Magic flows into the runes, setting them glowing blue.

"Water magic - makes the sword flow like a stream and hammer enemies like a waterfall," he says. The customer waves their hand over it, and magic sparks. The runes glow brown.

"Earth magic? The sword will have the power of an earthquake, hitting enemies like a rockfall," he says triumphantly. There's a moment of an exchange, and the customer wanders off with his new sword.

"Yeah, that's it!" he says, feeding more vines into the creation. "Then it can hang under me. Here, tie it over my shoulders and my waist," he says, jumping in and standing still so you can attack the basket to him. "Make them really strong knots."
