I unfortunately just don't have any other viable options. =\

The database doesn't track and isn't feasibly able to figure out purebred offspring from just regular offspring at this time. So I'd have no way to allow an exception or to change myself those pets for updated Themed Designs. And doing it manually is out of the question - there are tens of thousands of pets that'd people probably would want me to tweak.

And because when we do revamps, colors change (or new ones are added) and it messes up original Themed Designs, we decided to update the Themed so that they still looked good and/or retained their original design concept. In order to make this change work well, we give the option to players to update their owned Themed Pets to the new designs.

But at that point, there's nothing we can do about those pets' offspring. The only actual thing we could possibly do at this time would be to allow literally every single offspring to be able to be fully re-gen'd. And that isn't something we want to do - I think that'd be more damaging to the species than it'd help.

Until we can implement a purebred tracking system into the game, the only real viable option for this situation is to either just retain your pets' original color schemes and not update, or for players to just manually correct their end-of-line generations to match colors and breed from there.

I am sorry that there is not a better option.

I pretty much fully intend on integrating it into the core of Sylestia in the future.

When this code was originally built in 2012, Themed Pets didn't even exist haha. They were basically a player demanded feature we implemented in 2013. So the thought of Purebred Themed Offspring was obviously also never something considered as things were constructed. But again, you guys devote a ton of effort and energy to them, so it is definitely something we want to officially add into the game.

Unlike Themed Pets though, they require significantly more integration into the database and code. Something we can't really do with how things are set up atm.

Krin, there seems to be something weird with the Tagged Halloween Lunemaras. Please look at these Tagged Halloween Lunes who have not had their colors updated to the new variation:

Black Witch, Tamed, born Fall 2013
Both Accent Colors are green

Furzefire, Tamed, born Fall 2013
AC1 is black; AC2 is green

Trickster, Tamed, born Fall 2014
Both Accent Colors are green

Bubble, Tamed, born Fall 2014
AC1 is black; AC2 is green

Nyarlathotep, Exclusive, born Fall 2015
AC1 is black; AC2 is green

Duppy Bat, Exclusive, born Fall 2015
Both Accent Colors are green

What's the what with their Accent Colors, please?

I mean, they haven't been updated so they're still using the old colors.

AC2 was copied from AC1 initially, which was copied from EC.

But why are some green in both AC slots while others are black in one and green in the other? All of them have green eyes!

Also, if one wants to breed "classic" Halloween Lunes, which is correct? What can be done about the ones that aren't correct, whichever ones those are?

There have definitely been bugs with the AC1/AC2. Those were essentially brute forced into the game this year where no system was built to support them. I've been fixing them as I encounter them so that they work as they should.

I can't really remember back to this process for this themed specifically - I do know we had multiple iterations of updating the Halloween Lunemara Themed. I don't remember if one was pushed or not? Maybe some pets got bugged for one reason or another during the initial update. I really have no idea lol. =\

At this point, the "official" Halloween Lunemara Themed I don't believe uses Green for the AC at all. So that would be the correct.

The rest... it's really hard to say what would be "correct" because the Themed Design was created before ACs were a thing. So - it's kinda just whatever you want to go with if you don't want to update.

I think I know what could have happened here.

I remember when the Themed Lunemara were getting fixed they had multiple different times they could be updated to the new colours. I also seem to remember some people updated the palette in between those times, making the Lune's colours to the 2nd or 3rd or so iteration, and then when the Theme was updated again, they again had the prompt to update to the current Theme. I think that's what happened here... ^_^
