~August~

August was running on auto pilot, he didn't have the capacity to think about much right now. His expression was blank and he didn't respond to Miles question. Apparently this is what happened to him when faced with true chaos, he blocked it all out, he blocked everything out. The whole world was a haze around him, the sound had been muted to a low hum in his ears, his body moved of it's own accord despite his daze. August simply followed obediently after Miles.

AJ ~~ 18 ~~ his room

As the skellebob started to pull in his arm he feelt panic rise inside his chest. "One moment, I just need a few more games!" he said as he hold the bag with his NES-console, gameboy and games belonging to it. He grabbed his copies of the original pokemon games, putting them into the bag as well as grabbing some other games. Oh, he cant forget his computor ... but it wont fit in his backpack ... right? Well maby he can get the memory card out! While coughing from the heavy smoke he grabbed his screwdriver and started to work on the computor. Come on, quickly now! He could hardly see now, even less breath. But he couldnt think of leaving his computor behind. Impossible!!

Darci~12 years~ female~ halls

This was not the Myles she knew. The more she watching him the more this became certain, with his dazed look and the mumbling he seemed to be doing under his breath. August wasn't right either. Not to say that she was but atleast she was a bit better off than them. She still had her mind about her, she was still able to think reasonably about their situation. Myles led them forward still though, the light from his eye reflecting off the now mostly still halls. They neared the exit when he collapsed. One moment he was fine the next he was crumbling in to a heap on the ground as he gripped his face with both hands. His eye was changing from blue to purple in a rapid succession even. After what seemed like forever he stood again now on shaking legs. "We need to wait for AJ." He said in a low voice. What ever was happening it required all of them.

The skeleton danced about snapping its jaw together as it did. There was no time for this! With unseen strength it gripped the boys arm and pulled him backwards. After a few good pulls they were in the hallway, hopefully now the boy would understand the situation.

~August~

A strange feeling of serenity seemed to fog over August's mind as he stood there with the others, as he slowly grew accustomed to the chaotic emotions swirling about his mind. He straightened slightly and forcibly brought himself back to the present moment. He was still in some ways numb but this was different from before, his own emotions were still blocked off from him but he could otherwise think clearly. His thoughts were purely logical as he assessed the situation.

He looked down at Minnie, "Minnie, help Miles stand." he said as he pointed towards the man who was still shaking from whatever had just happened. Minnie understood that August would be fine without her directly beside him, and that right now Miles was the one in need of assistance so she obediently moved over and directed him to take hold of her harness in the same way as August would.

AJ ~~ 18 ~~ his room/The corridor

he didnt notice the skeletons dance or the snapping of its jaws. If he had he would most likely have snickerd at the scene. As he was pulled backwards he paled as he saw his computor smash into the floor with a loud bang. "No!" he exclaimed with pure agony in his woice, just barley managing to take a hold of the bag as he was pulled past it. Once in the corridor he stoped struggling, looking around. "oh ..." he said a bit surpriced. had someone accidently caught something on fire again? Its nothing speciall right? Just one of the students with firepowers having lost controll again? Right? But somehow these atempts to calm himself down didnt work. Something feelt diffrent, it was a lot more tense and nothing seemed to fit in how it normally went. "Okej, lets go" he mumbled, holding his bag tightly before following the skellebob. Each step he took made him even more uneasy, his lungs filled with smoke for each breath and the burning pain within them made it harder and harder to keep up. It took not to long but long enough to make him dissy before he realiced that he needed to cover his mouth and nose. But not having a shirt on that he could use he simply gripped a curtain that was hanging at a window they passed and with surprising strength he forced it down. The rod that had held the curtains up fell to the ground with a clear, distinct sound as it smashed into the ground. But despite the commotion it caused he got the effect he wanted, the curtains falling apart so with the fabric across his mouth and nse he followed the skellebob while his eyes watered slowly but surely.

Darci~12 years~ female~ halls

There was a sound behind them that made her turn, hands in front of her as if she was ready to fight whatever was coming for them. It was a skeleton, one of Myles, with its blue glowing eyes dancing about as it waddled towards them. If it had been any other situation she would have laughed though now was not the time. AJ was behind the skeleton, a curtain over his mouth. "We have to go now." Myles said his voice quivering as he did. Something was really wrong.... The man pushed open the door to the outside though the light was so blinding that it was hard to tell it was still night. Stadium lights, were pointed at every exit though the girl didn't understand why until she looked past them. The military scattered everywhere with their guns and other weapons blaring into the night. Hundreds of skeletons fought along side those who's super powers were effective in fighting. It was war. But why?! Darci took sharp deep breaths as she tried to remain calm to no avail. "Darci come on!" The man said taking her hand as he led them into the woods beyond the school. "What ever you do don't stop alright? No matter what happens."

~August~

Whether it was bravery or just plain instinct that made him so calm he couldn't say, but without a moments hesitation August dashed across the field towards the forests edge. There was no way in hell they hadn't been spotted but that didn't matter, what mattered was that he kept everyone safe. For the first time in his life August took the lead, he could tell everyone else was in a panic so if he could show them it was alright maybe then they would be able to calm down some themselves.

He froze as he saw the scene outside the door. He literly became like a deer in healights. N... no way. There is NO way this is real. He must be sleeping. Right? RIGHT?! He may be a gamingaddict and have no fear what so ever when it comes to that. But ... it is just that. Games! He is safe behind the screen, nothing would harm him. If anything he may get a bit of an headach but thats it! it took a while for him to realice he was beeing left behind thought so with stumbling feets and a steady, shaking grip of his backpack filled with games he dashed after them. During the entire running across the open grass he hold his breath. However he didnt notice it untill he had crossed it, his head spinning and his heart beating like a drum on ultraspeed inside of him. Leaning against a tree while taking deep breaths to catch his breath his eyes videning, his face turning pale and it was first moments later he heard himself give up a scream as he fell to his knees, holding himself over the shoulder. ****** that hurts! No matter the pain that ravaged his body it paled as he saw some of his games laying shatterd on the ground, smashed and broken. "YOU ******! IL WRECK YOU YOU SORRY EXUSE OF ******!" he growled, getting up while not thinking clearly.

Darci~12 years~ female~ halls

Following the group she couldn't help but notice the AJ was being left. Slowing her own pace she waited for him while Myles pressed on. "Come on AJ!" She said in a hushed whisper right after he stopped to catch his breath. What happened after that was just a blurr. First there had been a blast of gunfire as the military men made an attempt to stop them. Though none of the bullets hit her, one did seem to find its way to AJ. He fell, the games he held scattered about him. Time seemed to slow for a moment after that, least just for her. It all happened quickly despite this. Darci saw the boy fall and nearly instantly she was at his side as the soldier reached him. Blood covered her hands as the blade slid cleanly through his bottom jaw, silencing him. He fell to the ground just as the others arrived. Maybe their orders had been not to shoot to kill, or maybe they were just shocked enough not to fire as she made her way towards them. The second took a hit to the stomach, the once insides turned to outsides with a swift move. The others were waking up at this point this they raised their weapons to fire though it never came. The ground began to shake some as the skeletal animal rose from it. It looked to be a combination of what bones were lying about at the time though it was still enough to buy them some time. Darci snapped from her rage like trance long enough to rush to AJ's side. "We have to go!" She yelled pulling him to his feet before he could try and save the spilt games. Myles was there now, his eye now a firey red color.
"Go." He said in a smooth calm voice. "I'll hold them back." It was like nothing she had seen before. He had a wild look in his eye, like an animal that was untamed. Darci did as told, catching up to August while pulling AJ behind her.

~August~

Gunfire blazed around them briefly only a few moments after entering the forest. A bullet grazed August's thigh and another caught him just below the rib cage on his right side, just far enough in to actually be considered a hit rather than a graze. He didn't feel the pain much, though now there was a hitch in each breath he took. Both bullets passed clean through and the wounds were bleeding freely, even if he was fine now he was still at risk of passing out later from blood loss.

With a sharp whistle, August called minnie to his side. "Come on, follow me!" he shouted towards darci. He had a vague idea of where Miles had been leading them and he could tell that at that moment he was the only one out of the three students who was in any sort of position to lead.
