Darci~ 12 years~ female~ Courtyard (Lunch)

Finally they had been released from the confinement that was the classroom! The air was cool with a breeze that made the trees sway ever so slightly. The sun beat down upon the flowers that edged the sidewalk that the girl walked upon giving it a very peaceful look. Like always she made her way toward a bench that set in the farthest corner from everyone else, after all she didn't know any of the people here. Well she knew them but trusted none of them enough to speak with them. The girl, named Darci by the people whom she had once trusted, carefully took her place upon the bench and patiently waited. Myles, her only friend and more of adoptive father, was late again. Everyday he would bring her lunch out to the courtyard so she didn't have to face all of the others in the halls and such. More though it was for the two of them to have time to talk since he was her councilor by job. They would talk about what had happened the first half of the day and how it made her felt and so on and so forth. It was really just a bunch of sappy bull crud that she had to answer in case she accidentally hurt someone...again. It wasn't her fault really, the boy was the one that frightened her after all but still it made her feel bad all the same. For the most part though she felt welcomed here, like she fit in even if she was a hazard to everyone around her most of the time. The best part was that here no one cared that you were different, they just went with it. Even if she hadn't any friends this sure beat life out on the streets. Food always found its way to you with out you having to go out and scrape up left overs out of the trash. There was a roof over your head save when you were outside, and a bed was always waiting back in your room for you. Most of all, here she was wanted, she was cared for unlike her life before. Even if Myles wasn't around there was someone here to care for her, to watch over her. Now there was downsides to this seemingly paradise, such as homework and classwork but it was a slight price to pay for being here. This was home.
Down about her feet there was many things to use to pass the time, a fuzzy caterpillar, some dandelions to make a crown out of, shining stones that could be placed in her fish tank back in her room, and many other wonderous things that sparked a child's interests. First to be found was the caterpillar whom was picked out ever so carefully and placed upon her finger. It's black body inched about her finger as she watched it with extreme interest before it began to bore her thus it was placed back into the grass.
You know my mother used to call those fuzzy boogers after her father. Now that I think about it they kinda do look like boogers. The ever familiar voice of Myles called out as he approached her. He more than anyone knew to announce his presence before getting too close. Upon their first meeting she had left nasty cuts upon his arms from where he had grabbed her when she went to run from him. That was before she knew he was trying to help. Now though they looked past it, and after almost a year of being here they had forgotten completely.
Really? The girl asked with a slight giggle as she watched the insect crawl away from them.
Really, kinda like how she called the bathroom the Oval Office. That's where ****** went down. Both then took a moment to have a hardy laugh. Once the laughter died the man took his seat next to the girl handing over the brown paper bag he had been holding. Same as always. Ham sandwich with mayo, a bag of chips, some pickle slices, and a juice box though I'd like us to eat somewhere else today.
How come? The girl asked confused. Somewhere else? But they had eaten here everyday since she had gotten here. Why move now?
I have a meeting I want you to come to with me, it might help you to make friends. The man smiled standing again offering her a hand. Hesitate she took his offering and followed.
What is this meeting about? Darci asked a bit nervous. She had to stay calm or-or the blades would come again. She hated when the blades came out, they hurt so much and got her clothes all bloody.
"I've pulled together some of my other pacients for lunch so we can all get to know each other, maybe become friends. Don't worry this won't happen all the time, just once a week at the most." He led her down the long hall towards his office. The hall was empty save for the doors that lined either side of it leading to the many different classrooms. Most of the walls had nothing on them though a few had signs telling what room was what though one could hardly see the white letters on the light blue walls. Whom ever painted it knew nothing about color scheme clearly. Once at the room Myles opened the door to revile a few people sitting about the table (I'll let you choose if this is your characters). Instant anxiety gripped the girl as the heads of the other students turned towards her. "It's alright, they aren't going to hurt you." The man whispered in her ear. "Come on now I'll introduce you all then we can eat alright?" With a slow nod Darci agreed and took a step into the room. She sat as far away as she could from the others at the table, making sure to keep her head down as she did. The blades threatened to show themselves the more she thought about the students sitting with her though somehow she kept them at bay. Myles sat next to her with his kind smile. "Everyone this is Darci." He announced.

It was a relief to finally be able to leave the school building. August walked out into the courtyard Minnie padding along at his side as always. The further he walked from the building the more he relaxed. He had somewhere he was supposed to be, but that could wait. After all professor Xavier had always recommended he take a little time to himself before entering a large group of people. He was sure Myles would understand.
Minnie nudged his hand with her wet nose and he scratched her on her neck underneath her collar as she leaned into his hand indulging herself. He smiled, he couldn't help it. When she was happy he was happy too, that was why she was here after all.

After a few minutes when the other students had all settled down to eat their lunches August began to make his way back towards the building. As he approached the room he could sense someone inside was extremely nervous. He slowed and hesitated in front of the door, Minnie licked the back of his hand reassuringly. Keeping one hand on her collar he opened the door as carefully as he could.

AJ ~~ 18 ~~ counclers room

He had recieved the invite from the councler at his last meeting with him. So he was sitting in the room, not even eating. He was just sitting there with his arms resting on the desk belonging to the man. As the door opend he turned his head towards the sound but he didnt really listen to was said. On pure reflex he just raised his left hand as a greeting while the right one rested on the mans computor that he had on his desk. The white hair was in the way of his eyes but anyone who knew him remotly could see his eyes move rapidly. He was clerly playing some sort of game in his mind. But it seemed as if he tried altering the programing or the coding due to the concentrated look on his face. Normally if he was just messing around he would simply just have a relaxed look on his face, not this concentrated and serious. If he is just controlling his own things like this he can do it without problem and still do other things. Yet now he seemed to almost be in a pinch as he focused strictly on what he saw in his mind.

His iceblue eyes looked at the data infront of him as i rushed back and forth, working as quickly as he possibly could. No, that ace of spades need to be ace of hearts. His eyes keept looking at all the data that constnantly keept flashing through all of his mind. To be honest it was incredibly straining on his mind to go from a computer to a server. If two units are combined directly its piece a cake but to hack into servers, that takes a high toll on him to be honest. With a grin on his face he mumbeld "******ing morons, Il take eveything you have" before he simply accesed his own account and raised his betting with 1000dollars only to see his oponents raise to match his own.

August physically recoiled as he brushed against AJ's mind. He hated experiencing what other telepaths were thinking, especially the non conventional ones like technopaths. Furthermore he fundamentally disapproved of what he suspected AJ was doing. Past all of the confusing artificial information August could detect the combination of emotions one usually experienced while cheating with the expectation of profiting off of their own dishonesty.

Realizing the depth to which he was intruding, he relinquished contact. There was very little chance that AJ was aware of the contact though so August decided to act ignorant of his activity and report it later.
August pushed open the door and stepped inside to find Darcy and Myles standingon the other side of the room, as if they had just walked in and were about to sit down.
"Um, hi. Sorry I'm late."

Darci~ 12 years~ female~ Myles' Office

With a slight huff the man looked at the student across from him. "Wrap it up AJ, you know it is against the rules to hack into a teacher's personal computer." Though miles made no mover to take the device from him. So the boys name was AJ. Darci smiled a bit at that, she had been friends with an alley cat that she called AJ though his name meant Apple Jax. She had found him in an Apple Jax box when digging through a trashcan for food. As a kitten he couldn't have survived on his own thus she took him under her wing and helped him make it. He even decided to accompany her to the school though now he was fixed and rather lazy. Most of the time the yellow tom could be found sleeping in the window of her room which she kept open or laying on her comforter. Though recently he had grown slow and had trouble getting around as much before he had passed off into what lay beyond this world. She had been sad for days afterwards, the blades at her arms refusing to allow her to do anything as they constantly remained displayed for the world to see. Myles had suggested that they get her another kitten though it would be the same. Apple Jax had been such a loyal animal even for a cat thus nothing could replace him no until his memory had faded away. Her thoughts though were broken as a voice came from the door. This scared her thus she stood eyes wide with fear as the blades extended from her wrists, Myles though was there to counter react this. "It's okay Darci, this is August, he is the second student in our meeting." The man said in an attempt to calm the girl. Blood dripped from her hands as she stared at the boy not sure if she should be afraid or angry. With the man's help though she was forced back down in her seat at the end of the table. "Come on in August and take your seat, we were just about to introduce ourselves."

AJ ~~ 18 ~~ counclers room

He heard what the man told him but didnt care, he was in the middle of a tournament right now and he was kicking ass! Slowly his breathing begun to get heavy, sweat started breaking out as the server he was hacking with his mind got allerted to something not beeing right. As it was now he didnt only have to keep an eye on his own cards, the other players and manipulating the cads given but also keep his mind free of intrusion. It is hard enough to actually just hack the server, it is really hard on his mind but to as well as that manipulate everything else ... thats just ... crazy. Stupied and dangerous even. He could honestly feel it. He could feel the firewall in his body and the admins trying to kick his countiens out of the server and it gave him a massive headache. His brightblue eyes moved faster and faster under the white bangs as his brain worked as fast as he could to finnish before he was actually injured by it. "Stopp messing up for me" he mutterd through gritting teeths as he tried to ignore the pain he feelt rushing through his body every second. It just keept comming over him as waves hits a rock once it reaches the shore. Harsh, resentless and without mercy, covering him compleatly in pain. But he is way to stubborn to stop. He NEEDS to win this no matter what.

August wasn't all that surprised when the blades came out of Darcy's wrists, oddness was the norm here after all. She winced in pain as the blades extended, August instinctively pulled away from her mind. As much as he was keen not to feel her pain, he also hated to intrude whenever possible.
"I'm sorry, are you okay?"

Her blood was sharp in the air to Minnie's keen sense of smell, August rubbed his own nose in response even though he couldn't smell it himself.

He then took notice of how Darcy was starring at Minnie apprehensively, in a school full of mutants a normal dog was the oddity. "Oh, this is Minnie. She's my service dog, she's really well trained so you don't need to worry about her."
Minnie's nose twitched, as much as she was curious about the others her training told her to stay with August. She was always so calm, August patted her neck appreciatively and smiled shyly.

Darci~ 12 years~ female~MylesOffice

"AJ come on, your going to end up hurting yourself. You remember what happened last time don't you?" The man said in a hope to gain the boys attention. It was to no avail as the boy continued to work with the computer. Frustrated Myles pinched the bridge of his nose before turning back to the others. "While he finishes up why don't we get started alright? Darci why don't you start us off? How was your day?" The girl had her head down thus now she slowly looked up eyeing the boy and his dog. Minnie, like Minnie Mouse or like a mini version of something. The dog certainly wasn't a mini size, nor was she a mouse. Where could that name have come from? When addressed she glared at Myles for a moment before turning her attention to the boy on the computer. She was still on edge and this wasn't helping. It had been a long time since she had had an attack this bad, the anxiety of meeting new people wasn't helping either. Though Myles expected her to tell what had happened in her day nonetheless.
"It was alright." Her voice was thin nearly silent as she looked down at her lap, eyes focused on her deformities."I got in trouble in math again."
"I'm sorry to hear that, what happened this time?" The man asked. Atleast now he wasn't taking note on everything she was saying and doing.
"I didn't do my homework or my classwork." Her tone was now on edge, clearly she was irritated by being asked but she knew from experience that it was better not to argue with Myles. When she had first arrived she had try to do just that but had seemingly lost when he turned her words around. They had been fighting about something as simple as how she wouldn't speak but in reality he had gotten her to do just that. Sometimes she wished he would just leave her alone, that he would just let it go though she knew it was his job to keep her in check. He was after all besides these two boys the only one she talked to.
"Well maybe after school I can help you, how does that sound?" She answered with a simple nod not bothering to even look up at the man. He always said that, and he always ended up sending teachers note saying how Darci was incapable to do the work due to a learning disability. She was in the third grade, by standard books, though she was 12 and still she was having trouble. Clearly something was wrong. "August now it's your turn, how was your day?"

"It was alright I guess though, it's not really my problem but everyone seems really on edge lately. Normally I wouldn't care too much but its been going on for days and it's really distracting."
August shrugged. "It's probably nothing, last time this happened it was just some stupid rumor goung around."

Even though he said this August looked Myles straight in the eyes. He hadnt mentioned it but it wasn't so much the other students he was concerned about, though they had been acting off lately. No, he was more worried about the general mood of the faculty.

AJ ~~ 18 ~~ counclers room

He zoned out from the room, focusing on nothing more than the rows of codes that keept flashing before his eyes in a speed that would be impossible for almost anyone else to keep up at. As his body started twitching from keeping him up on the server, an eye on his own cards as well as the oponents and he also had to keep his own mind from getting a computer virus in it. The last time he got one he had been in the hospitalwing for two months. But as it was now he actually feelt that the risk was worth it. just as August said the word "rumor" he feelt his breathing stop. his heart stoped beating and he could feel it as if someone knocked him to the floor. A few moments later he blinked as it all came back to him. With a rather massive twitch of the body his lungs started working togeather with the heart again. Shaking from the toll it had taken on him he removed his hand from the computer and gasped for air, bending over as he was sitting on the chair. His whole body was hurting and he could feel the taste of blood in his mouth. "W.. water ..." he panted with sweat dripping from all over him.
