Amethyst was still tired but she kept that fact hidden. She looked around. "It's so misty!" Amethyst said. She didn't mind that much though. She smiled and yawned. She swam around for a bit to wake up. | Grim Rose and Sagetri hide in the water with Metal. They kept quiet as if they weren't even there.

Mermydon

Hearing Amara's landing, the kelparie stallion adjusted his head accordingly to home in on her location as she began materializing from the canopy and the mist. Her voice was unconcerned he noticed so it seems she spends more of her time alone than with a school of her own kind. Even as she walked towards him, her demeanor was relaxed. Underwater such an occurrence silently broadcast to an apex predator, such as himself, 'I am not afraid of you, because I know something you don't, so beware.' Instinctively, his spines rose a few inches toward a defensively posture until her features began to become prominent and colored her silhouette. He was prepared to comment when another familiar voice hailed him from the waters.

"Hail Mermydon. It is good to see you all so well rested. There were no troubles in reaching here I trust?"

"Hail to you Raka," he turned his head and called back, "some potentially unrelated trouble, which hopefully won't be a bother to us. Couple of mermen astride Royal Myrmian kelparie, lightly armed. They appeared to be scouting rather than hunting, but this far into the lake I wouldn't want to take any chances. I'll feel better when every kelparie arrives and we can start heading up the cascade. If they aren't here by full sunrise, they'll just have to try and catch up. I'd rather not be here to discover if the mermen are moving to invade or capture more mounts."

Mermydon

The slightest ripple rolled along Mermydon's left forward flank granting the sensation of Kanakwella's presence. She wan't alone but he wasn't so attuned to zolnixi pheromones as to his own kind. Akega was there too, though his signature was either faint or old by comparison. He would need to see them to be certain.
He merely turned his head in that direction and a hint of a smile materialized on his muzzle, a small change but easily noticable to Amara and others that were close by. Raka too, may have noticed the change but Mermydone wasn't paying attention or Raka wasn't displaying that he noticed yet.
"Our guests have decided to wait upon us," Mermydon spake clearly, "I'm very glad yo see they did not disappear with the night. Let's trot on over and make ready for a push up the cascades."

Amara nodded swaying her tail. She was unsure which forest path she should take to meet them, as she had cleared several. None the less she felt the jury would be less eventful for at least a little ways.

Heroine giggled and slid jaxion off her back then pawed his face lightly "time to wake up..." she said quietly

Akega went into the deeper water he was tired of all this going on "Undyne!" he shouted into the water trying to find the leader of the royal guard

Mermydon

Just looking upon the beautiful lines and regal colors that packaged Kanakwella frame made Mermydon feel like a heal, for having to cast her away for the night. Yet the fact that she was still here, warmed his heart and gave him a glimmer of hope that what she had told them is true.
There was no visible sign of Akega even as the mists started melting away, and as for Heroine, he virtually ignored her even as he slowly began to close the distance with them. Thus far his roster of allies had thinned overnight. Raka and Amethyst were in his wake, and he was more confident that Raka was equally who he claimed to be. Foolish of him, maybe, but most mermian fled not long after being discovered. Meara and Cain had made it plain the night before that their interest lay elsewhere; for some strange reason it left a pain in the prince's being, but one he hoped would heal with time.
Also Yal and Uryi had seemed to have the same intentions as the previous two. It seemed that he and Kanakwella's adventure up the river was becoming a match making service for others. That thought made him s****** a little under his breath.
Several land dwellers seemed to have moved on as well, and probably just as well since much of their problems wouldn't likely involve many of them beyond Amara.

He closed to within two full lengths of his betrothed before halting his forward propulsion, He bowed his head and closed his eyes a little, there were so many things on his mind that he wished to say and tell her, but all he could say to address her was. "Did you and your brother sleep well?"

Amara flicked her tail the other Vixen could easily fly and the others that were confined to the shore could either hide in the shadows or make way by air as well. And seeing as the others were making their way to the falls she made haste to trek up the kindling path, as it was by far the clearest. however she was concerned as she had not seen the tom or his friend lately, and the Kindling path was no place for newcomers to travel by themselves.

As she walked the pine needles beneath her feet and the bare branches above her gave little protection from the suns heat, though that was the least of her worries.
