Mermydon

"I would be lying if I affirmed a fair evening, my queen." He replied. "I feel almost unfit for the crown having to turn you and you brother away last night." He inched forward as he spoke. "Yet I cannot deny the security of making sure you weren't a plant. Please accept my apologize and amend to me my aching heart. For truly I wished to pass the evening with your highness's company and see what bonds might have been."

Truly he was ashamed of the decision he had to make, and regrettably he would do it again if the situation arose again. But monarchy was a cruel master for those in power and he had to choose the path it set for him.

"Hopefully I have not wounded her majesty's feelings that she would share my company this morning?" He asked hopeful for another chance for her to grace him with her company today.

He felt like a foolish love-struck foal laying aside his concern for everything else but this princess, nay queen, that he might truly be spending the rest of his noble life with. He had yet to acknowledge Akega or the other kelparie mare returning with him, though his lateral lines should have sensed them already.

Mermydon

He lifted his head and smiled at her, thankful that she could understand why he had to do what he did. It warmed his heart and he couldn't help but grow fonder of the young filly queen floating before him. Already he wanted to drape his fin over her shoulder and take her into his nest and show her a glimpse of their future together and a vision of what was to come. Still he had to carry her up the cascade and beyond into the river and back to her territory so both kingdoms knew what to be in store of. He wanted to speak but paused when Akega and his guest broke the surface, and the moment. He expected they would meet more Hallenjaxian support as they went, but not so soon. They hadn't even left the lake yet! This mare Akega brought with him didn't have the airs of royalty, but she had the pompous and regal presence of an elite. They way they conversed looked like a superior to subordinate relationship, so either a bodyguard or more likely royal herald to the king. He wanted to speak and learn who this stranger was, but thought it best to wait for Akega to make an introduction. So for now he took a place beside Kanakwella, placing her on his left showing his intent to be her suitor, and just ahead of her so this new comer would know that he wasn't just one of her peers. He was also expecting Raka, Amethyst and Amara to catch up at any moment, or at least for the ryori to appear before they started up the waters West.

((OOC: Hey, I just thought I would give you guys an update on my situation and why I haven't been posting. I have a lot going on right now (nothing you should worry about though) I turn 17 tomorrow so as you can imagine, I've got a bunch of family stuff happening this week.
Part of why I haven't posted yet is because its been so long since I posted in any RP let alone this one. In terms of my personal life, I've been going out into public a lot more recently as part of my therapy to get over certain social anxieties so I've been online a lot less.
It's also fair to mention that I just got a Nintendo switch yesterday as a birthday present so that is proving a major distraction. (I'm a socially awkward 17 year old girl, can you blame me?)
Anyways thats all I have to say for now, have fun with the RP and I'll try to keep up as best as I can.))

Kanakwella blushed lightly it was hidden though she looked at akega and undyne

"Everyone this is undyne leader of the royal guard and my wife to be." he said in his voice of royalty it was at a slight high and slight normal tone just so everyone could hear that was in the waters nearby

Undyne bowed seeing mermydon was a acquaintance of the princess "yes princess i haven't seen you in awhile either, Whomever is this may i ask?" she said undyne's hair unlike any other flowed in the wind it was tied up by some sort of human object (Hair clip, Hair tie, bow? whatever you think is best)

Mermydon

Something was off about the way Akega just introduced his betrothed. Marriage to the royal guard captain wasn't really that unusual, especially if she was a duchess. He noticed how Kanakwella subordinated as her younger brother announced his intentions. Not at all odd in itself, as the first born colt, the rights of the heir to the throne were rightfully his, although the inheritance of the first born belonged still to Kanakwella. He leaned slightly to physically touch Queen Kanakwella and he elected to address Undyne in her place.

"I am Prince Mermydon the Pearlbeam of Shaledon and heir to all of the waters and shores that you see surrounding you. Welcome to the homeland of my nativity and perhaps in the future we can be less formal as in-laws." He said with half a smile.

Raka had been standing quietly on the sidelines while the others went about greeting eachother. Raka didn't pay much attention to most of them, he was more interested in finding an opportunity to speak with Mermydon in private.

Just when it seemed that an opportunity had presented itself, a new presence announced itself.
"Aunt Undine?!" Undine, the name had simply popped into his head just like all the other memories he had been uncovering as of late.
This new mare was indeed his parents superior officer Commandant Undine, head of the entire Hallenjaxian royal army. She was of course not his aunt, but he had called her this ever since he was young. Ever since his father had risen to the rank of lieutenant to his mother whom was already captain of her own brigade by then, Undine had been a constant presence in his young life to the point where he considered her a third parent.

It was strange how neither she nor akega had aged a single day since then, but how he had grown to an adult in the same time.

(Sorry if I'm getting the continuity all mixed up. But this seems to work out best.)

((OOC: If it's any consolation, even the swimmers will have a hard time going up a 300 ft. waterfall, lol. And I wouldn't worry about the issue with Raka, most of the players aren't from that time and wouldn't know any better than Raka himself. XD Anyway, to save my mental state, I'll address the PCs in reverse order, and NPC Aleria to entertain the situation.))


Mermydon

The movement of a familiar brown vixen form ashore garnered his attention on his left. He turned his head in her direction and dipped his head in return after her nose tip lifted up to it's zenith again. He smiled as he raised his head. "Your swift and silent movement is a credit to your species Vixen Amara, but fealty to your friends is a credit solely to you." He said while sending out a signature hail through his lateral lines before continuing. "We'll be heading upstream momentarily so it's best that you make for land and negotiate your path up the cliff face."

A few seconds after he finished addressing the vixen, Aleria surfaced and closed the distance, she moved inland of Raka and Akega and likewise dipped her muzzle to Mermydon. "You called for my help?" She asked rhetorically.

Mermydon did his best to be polite at the request, "I wouldn't want to impose upon you too strongly Mare Aleria, but I would ask if you could escort Vixen Amara to the South Mainland head before joining us at the base of the cascades." "You wish me to let her ride on my back to shore. Why?" She asked distastefully, her ears folding back angrily.

"As a service to the crown." He told her with his most winning smile. "I really have no one else to trust in the matter."

"Fine." she answered bitterly, but complied and dropped her attitude. She beached herself in a few inches of water close to Amara. And told the zolnixi in her normally sweet tone. "Come vixen, though if it was any other asking me, I'd drown you half way to shore and have you as breakfast." She smiled then showing her full pearly, saw-toothed smile. He quickly turned to Heroine but talked to her directly rather than call her by name. "Could you and your cub accompany Amara? I'm sure another couple zolnixi would make her at ease taking the trail alone. Beside, you can start socializing your cub with others of your ilk." Undyne had still not redressed his introduction, so he held off any further conversation until she spoke; if she would speak. And it gave Heroine an opportunity to reply back as well. As for Raka,.. His lateral lines were aquifer and radiating his desire for a private word with him. Mermydon wasn't sure if it had to do with Amethyst or regarding the Mermian's they saw earlier in the day. But he acknowledged his desire and would delay long enough to hear him out.
