@Creativity,

There will be no point of interest on a respawn timer that's for a quest or storyline progression. That will all be individual.

Only rare things, like named/bosses with loot, treasure chests, gathering nodes, etc will share.

If you are doing daily quests, yes, you will have to explore those zones and accomplish w/e the task may be. But again, it's not like we'll making it be a penalty for leaving.

Think of like... Pokemon. Let's say you enter some sort of forest, battle for a bit, and return to town to heal. When you return to the forest, it only takes a few minutes to reach where you last were.

That is how it will work.

@Saira,

Unfortunately, we cannot develop Sylestia without funds.

We allow users to buy diamonds for gold via the exchange and like I said, cartographers will be able to make maps to use or sell to others (for gold).

Is the map a must to buy? I am ok with other suggestions but I'm not sure about the map. I don't any money to spare. Also, about how much is the map when you released it?

I have to say.. not having any warm fuzzy feelings about this at all. If I want to Arena or do Daily Quests I have to ruin my exploration progress in a zone? ._. What about doing other things on the site such as breeding, equipping or leveling up my pets? Is that going to count as me leaving?

Having played many an MMO I also dislike the shared spawns idea. This tends to lead to people figuring out when things respawn and tirelessly spawn camping them. I really don't see how a system can be put in place to stop that. Especially if people just sit next to the spawn and wait for it to come back all the time as happens in MMOs.

@Zelly,

More than one person will be able to attack named and get loot. It'll work how raid bosses work...example being multiple people can fight and earn loot from Tyrielle.

No, the map will not be required to progress the story, complete quests, or in general just explore.

The map will be helpful for those looking for specific named, treasures, gathering nodes, etc. Basically, maps will enhance "end-game" play.

But, as I said, Maps will be obtainable w/o paying for them - whether by buying diamonds for gold, buy maps from other players, or making maps yourself.

I'm all for understanding that a site needs funds for developement, but charging diamonds for the map cuts it kind of close to making the game pay to play, since I doubt any of this easy return to where you left off stuff you are talking about is going to be anywhere near that easy with no map to go by for those of us who cannot afford to buy the maps.

It is also a bit concerning about newcomer impact. Telling them they have to save up a large chunk of gold to hope someone will sell them the diamonds to get a map to the first zone in the game may end up being severely off putting.

@Zelly,

The beginning zones will have the maps available.

For the most part, I like the vision of more dynamic, immersive content for adventuring in Sylestia. I do have one major concern, however.

Making all content open world defeats the purpose of a dungeon, which in most open-world games is "instanced" to each player or group in order to allow individuals to progress simultaneously within their unique copy of the dungeon. The idea of going all the way through a dungeon, only to discover that the bosses have all been recently defeated by someone else, is a little off-putting. If this is indeed the case, would you consider allowing players to group their teams together in order to complete specific content? That way, at least, several users could get credit for defeating a single named NPC at once. Otherwise, it seems like a very long queue will be created, with players constantly popping into and out of a zone looking for a particular node or NPC. During heavy site traffic times, this could get frustrating for everybody.

@Moxie,

Dungeons will still be instanced and individual on daily cooldowns. I originally wrote that, but I think I may have erased it at some point. :\
