Oh, this is exciting! Such useful philters :)

As for the price, I don't think 150 diamonds is that unreasonable. Obviously Krin and Fai don't want to have everyone breeding pets making all their sold offspring infertile, because that really changes the game dynamics. I can see why making the philters of infertility less disposable is a good idea -- that way it really forces a breeder to decide whether it's worth it to use one. Therefore the only projects it will likely be used on are stat projects or wheel pets, which you don't want to flood the market with. It makes sense if you're balancing the concerns of individuals with what is good for the pet marketplace as a whole.

Very good points CH

To our newer players the costs may seem high, but as you advance further you will come to find that its not as much as it seems to you right now.

As our longer term players know, the gold cost for 150 diamonds (300-350K gold) is not really that much. I myself make a little more than that every week just by my profits on missions alone.

Plus as mentioned, the cost is made just high enough to make those that are going to use one think twice before they actually do. :)

While I am glad to see the infertility philter is out, the price left me reeling. Looks like I am not going to make back as much gold as I would have thought on my stat ligs... Regardless, it is nice to have additional options.

And I am really glad on the Nullification philter, especially since I have a pair of tamed Halloween Nephs with Ethereal Wings carried, which I am not a fan of... Now to debate whether to mutate one with Spectral Wings for wait for more wing mutes to come out... xD

Krin actually said you COULD mutate that same slot after nulling it In response to this

awesome stuff! =D

Just wondering though, if you use the philter of nullification on a tamed pet, can you still use a genetic mutator on it afterwards? Especially to add something to the slot of the trait that was just removed?

Yes, the two are separate. So it would be possible to do that.

Some good points were brought up about the price of the infertility philter. I understand that maybe part of Krin/Fai's intention was to:
1. Make people think hard about what they're doing before just using the philter.
2. Limit how many infertile pets there are in game.
3. Make some moolah.
4. Possibly increase pet value.

However I still believe the price of 150 diamonds is too steep. I would prefer to spend hours nurturing than spend 300-500K gold or 150 diamonds. I also believe people may say, "Oh it doesn't matter, I'd spend an extra 300-500K to get that stat pet someone is selling." now... but when it comes time to actually pay for: the breeders fee (probably around 500K) and pay for the philter (300-500K or diamonds) that almost doubles the price of the pet. People are going to hesitate and re-think the pricing... and then no stat pets/high trait pets/project pets will be sold.

#1 is a valid point, as is #3 but #2 would not be a problem. I really doubt the game would be overrun with infertile pets. :/ It's not like 2000 or even up to 5000 scales is super accessible. That's at least a few hours of clicking, and a lot of people aren't willing to do that all day.

As I stated before, for me personally I just don't see 150 diamonds for this being worth it. I'd rather just keep my pets to myself (unless the buyer provides the philter). In the case of the buyer giving me a philter in addition to purchasing the pet at my fee I would be completely fine with that... but in reality I just don't see too many people doing that.
