So, I'm assuming there will be some sort of notation if a pet has been treated with the philter of infertility. What will that look like?

Yes - just like the current icons. I used one on my Vylexul:

It will also show up in the list of icons in the Advanced Search.

awesome stuff! =D

Just wondering though, if you use the philter of nullification on a tamed pet, can you still use a genetic mutator on it afterwards? Especially to add something to the slot of the trait that was just removed?

Yes, the two are separate. So it would be possible to do that.

the nullification...so basically no re-mutating?

Correct. It doesn't allow you to do anything additional to the pet. It just removes the trait.

Not too big on the infertility one. I am on another website, no mutations, but where you want to breed better versions, people sell their ones there, where you can't breed them, for outrageous prices....to where you can only afford them with the currency that costs real money.

I hope nothing like that happens here, though I understand why people want to protect their investment.

Woah, the price of the infertility philter. xD /now that I have a use for them, seeing their prices makes me gawk lol

Time to debate what to do and what routes to take, the cheap route or the legit one...*o*

in the case of stat pets they will be expensif becaus every offspring needs to be philterd with a prismatic philter and those are 80 diamonds. and well about the prices if you play long enough you will make more gold so you can buy more expensif things it just takes some time.

withs i see as a good thing becaus if you worked hard for somthing it makes it even nicer ones you have it^^

I don't think it'll be too much of a problem since you can only buy the philter in the diamond shop and it's 150 diamonds for just ONE of them. I know there are people who have tons of money to regularly throw at online games (not hating, just saying they exist), but for $1.50 in real money per pet, that's gotta be one pell of a het! And anyone who's managed to actually breed, say, a 6 vis maxed stat pet isn't going to sell them for cheap anyway. I'm guessing the philters are just to prevent the game from one day being flooded with multi-vis high-stat pets via mass breeding.

ETA: Also, anyone with enough patience can eventually breed a 6 vis maxed stat pet, so it's not preventing anyone from breeding those pets themselves. And since there are philters available in the scale shop, anyone who feels like clicking for hours on end, mutating several pets, and then doing lots of breeding could eventually get the trait combo they want if they can't afford to buy from other players.
