I have just been made aware that this festival will be the Last Wheel of Dreams festival for a while. This is unfortunate news, but at the same time it makes the pets from this wheel even more exclusive. I am sorry to see you go Wheel of Dreams, but hope that when you make your triumphant return people will appreciate you as they once did!

Windchaser Luffox

Once upon a time, when the lands of Sylestia were young and people had not yet grown abundant as they are today, there lived a young boy. This boy had a goal, he wished to explore and map the lands of Sylestia. His journey was perilous and he fought many dangers on his travels. One day in a meadow that would later be called Viridian, the boy sat by a small river, he had been tired from his journey and just wanted to relax by the running water. As he lay asleep the wind spirit, Zephyr, came down from the heavens to dance by the river as she did every day. She was surprised to see the boy, who after his travels looked far worse for ware. She had not met a human before, as they were still a young race in the lands. She felt sorry for the boy, who had no way to defend himself against the wild creatures of Sylestia, however it was the heavens rule that no spirit should intervene with matters outside of their domain. But being the Wind Spirit, she was cunning and devised a plan for the boys safety for the rest of his travels. With her magic she created a charm that would summon a Sylesti to befriend the boy and keep him safe. she lay the locket at the boy's feet and disappeared into the breeze. As the boy awoke he noticed a glint of something by his feet and picked up the strange object. As he touched the gleaming rock the winds howled around him, and from the bushes behind he heard a scuffling. Out popped a wild Sylesti. He had never seen one so beautiful before, nor had he seen one so happy to bounce around a human as this one did. The small Sylesti danced around the boys feet and then bounced off into the glades, pausing for a second to see if the boy would follow. That day started a great friendship between the Sylesti and the boy, a friendship that had not before been seen in the lands. As the two grew older their bond grew stronger, until one day the boy was struck down by a stray Vorkid. As he lay dying the wind spirit came to his side. She had watched his relationship with the Sylesti and could see how sad the creature was to have its companion so fatally wounded. She picked up the charm from the boy and broke it into four pieces setting the creature free from its bonds. The boys spirit was sad to see the creature leave, but knew it was for the best. The wind spirit offered the boy a place by her side, as another wind spirit, and he became the Wind Chaser. Its rumoured that if you find the four pieces of the Zephyr's charm and put them back together, you may be able to meet the Sylesti and become its new companion.
