I have many pets and love them all to pieces. There's a grumpy, fat old tabby cat named Stanley, a pudgy black tonkinese named Pandora, Pandy's skinnier twin named Penny, a female Pembroke Welsh corgi named Clancy, a male Pembroke Welsh corgi named Ein, and my brother's bearded dragon, Comet.
September 2013: My times spent replying may be really wonky because I actually got really sick back in August. Like, high fever for 16 days straight, hospitalized for a week kind of sick. We finally know what I have, though! It's a really rare immune disease called (Brace yourself for medical jargon that will make you go 'What?'
Hemophagocytic Lymphohistiocytosis. It's abbreviated HLH, though. Basically, my body caught a regular old virus, so my immune system kicked into high gear to destroy the virus. It got stuck like that though, so once it destroyed the virus, my immune system went rogue and went after my white blood cells, bone marrow, started going after my organs, eventually would have gone to my brain, and would have been fatal if we didn't figure out what it was. The only treatment is a combination of steroids and chemotherapy, which are to essentially wreck my immune system totally (To wipe out the overactive cells that are crazy) so my body can reset and rebuild from scratch. In short, I don't have cancer, but I went through chemo anyway. If you want to know more about my freaky rare disease and what I'm going through, feel free to pm me and ask~! I know it sounds really bad, but I honestly don't mind talking about it. Everyone, especially the doctors and nurses, are really freaked out by how accepting I am of this and how I'm not really freaking out or anything.
July 2016: Almost three years have passed since I originally got sick! It's been a long, slow recovery, which I'm still nowhere near through with. Two false starts trying to go away to college, giving in and taking online courses at home, failing that first semester miserably...But things are finally starting to get better. I'm doing really well in the one class I'm taking now, and I've got 3 set up for this fall. I'm still at home and very dependent on my family, but I'm at least getting somewhere with schooling, albeit very slowly.
