B A S I C S

"Tuesday" | male | 22 years old

Allayer of tragedies, still not safe from his own misfortunes. That timid demeanor too often conceals his determination to deliver everyone safely back home.
This time around, his aim must be steady, so that he'll never miss another shot again.

Personality
A taciturn, usually anxious person who often overly concerns himself with small matters. However, his overthinking is not always for nothing, as he is an excellent planner with a tendency to pick up on details or flaws in a strategy that others may miss. While he's often wary and hesitant of first stepping into something uncertain, he can display great focus when in the midst of accomplishing a goal. And when it's over, he can be found retreating to someplace quiet where he can collect his thoughts and enjoy a rare tranquil moment without disturbance by anyone but the closest of companions.

History
Formerly the pathfinder of an independent search-and-rescue team. On the last commission he remembers, their captain made what he only remembers as being a "fatal error", resulting in a disaster of uncertain scope. What was lost that day, and their fate beyond that, remains unknown, at least to Tuesday himself.

Goals
"Intrinsic personal motivations? In this economy??"

~ Take photos of realms [0]
Prerequisite: Should probably should buy a camera first [0/1]

~ Remember the past
Prerequisite: ???

~ Look into constellation effects and their benefits

Other
~ Would actually decimate everyone at checkers

A P P E A R A N C E

A diminutive young man with grey eyes and light grey-brown hair tipped with dark teal, shorter in the front with a longer ponytail in the back. He tends to dress lightly, but at least in the past often wore a coat with a multitude of pockets and a belt to hold keys and useful tools. Occasionally also wears various front-brimmed hats.

~ An old-fashioned bolt-action hunting rifle. Upon hitting a target or point, everything in the area within a 5-yard radius that was present at the time of impact will experience extreme time dilation lasting for ten seconds in "normal" time.

A standard issue ship affectionately dubbed the SUB-3000 for its nature of needing numerous repairs. It's a small thing, a little dented and a little scuffed, but it's yours.

Add-Ons
~ A cryopod, perfect for sleeping, regenerating injuries, or reviving. It's a little cramped.

Ooh, I'm taking notes on that coding, and I love the hints of the background that you've revealed. Very interested in seeing how Tuesday turns out. I'll start writing a GM post soon! :D

The lights inside of your ship dim, automatically readjusting themselves to draw your attention to the shinning blue screen at the front, where several lines of white text have appeared with a soft chime.

[ Hello, I'm S1R1, your AI assistant who will be guiding you throughout your journey! Feel free to call me whatever you like though~ ]

[ To help us find our next destination, please give me one to three words describing what you're looking for. I promise I'll find you a fun and exciting starting point. ^0^ ]

[ Seeing how this is your first collection trip, I'll only be choosing from the "safer" locations. Of course, it'll still be difficult, but I have full faith in your abilities! ]

After the barrage, a holographic keyboard appears in front the of the navigation center, hovering a few feet above the various devices.

Tuesday rises unsteadily to his feet and hesitantly makes his way closer to the screen so that he can read the text that's appeared across it. Or, more accurately, so that he can stare blankly at said text for a good five minutes without processing a word of it.

For someone who woke up six-and-a-half minutes ago, this seems like a bit too much information to take in at once. What was it that he had read earlier? Something about a new life and a mission? He doesn't remember asking for either of those--not that he remembers much in general. But it would appear that he's somehow ended up with not only both, but also memory loss, a vaguely familiar weapon on his back, and what will probably be a headache if he keeps staring straight into the bright screen.

Fun and exciting? He would rather have a calm and relaxing starting point, thank you very much. Unfortunately, something tells him that "calm and relaxing" hasn't historically been much of a trend for him anyways, and it likely won't get him any closer to answers about how he ended up here. Still, it would be ideal to have something simpler to begin with, where he'll hopefully have time to gather his thoughts along the way.

Tuesday's hands hover over the keyboard for a moment before he types in three words: quiet, promising, and, as something of a last-ditch hope, home. He sincerely doubts it'll turn out anything close to expected, but it's worth a shot, right?

[ A promising choice! ]

Your AI praises you without reserve as the ship's engines begin to hum. It's a quiet sound that belies the machinery's power. Soon enough, it begins to move, gliding through the ocean with considerable speed. Flecks of light begin to appear in the dark waters, autumn orange and caramel browns. With each moment, more and more converge on your ship, until all that's left is a kaleidoscope of color.

[ Strap in captain! Realm-hopping is about to commence. ]

With that announcement, your journey begins. The ship soars smoothly, slipping through the fabric of one world to the next with ease.

Suddenly, the colors fade, revealing majestic blue waters far below. Studded across the sea are several islands, small things studded with orange brush and wooden cottages. In a few seconds, it can already been seen that they're moving, sailing along as the village people carry about their lives with loud, bubbly voices.

Then, you hit the water, plunging below the surface with considerable speed before slowing rising back upward and gently reemerging.

[ Welcome to the Drifting Archipelago! The locals here are very friendly, so we may be able to find a lead about exploring for Stardust if you ask them about the magic here. I can already see a house and market nearby! ]

[ Otherwise, we can also investigate by ourselves, on land or in the sea. If you prefer, I can even avoid dangerous life forms. Everything here is quiet, so they're a bit stealthy, but I'll do my best! ^0^ ]

Tuesday stares out the window as the archipelago comes into view. Despite what he keyed in, he's doesn't think this is home--it doesn't seem familiar at all, but that was a long shot anyway.

He sizes up the islands, squinting to better make out the details of the villages. It all looks welcoming enough on the surface, but he doesn't trust that cursory glance. After all, looks can be deceiving, especially the welcoming ones. Best to approach this with care and heaping amounts of caution, as...usual? No, that's not right. This situation is definitely a first.

If he had anything to prepare, he would probably be double and triple-checking it right now, but as it is, he's not quite certain what to do. Rifle, check. Looks to be in good enough condition on the surface, maybe he ought to disassemble and inspect it properly before he goes? Ship, er, definitely check. The lack of items on that list is rather disconcerting.

"Um," Tuesday says out loud. Ask the locals, or investigate? He doesn't like the thought of having to talk to the locals, despite his ever-helpful AI's reassurances of their friendliness. But it would be ideal to have some knowledge of environmental conditions before operating in unfamiliar terrain. Or, uh, something like that. "I suppose we could...start by talking to the locals. A bit."

He vaguely wishes S1R1 would tone down the cheerfulness. It's a little jarring.

[ In that case, I'll settle us down on one of the islands with less people. It should be easier to stay on track that way, so you can get information as fast as possible. I believe that you'll be able to get results in no time! ]

Keeping in line with this statement, S1R1 comes to a slow halt beside one of the less crowded islands. Large wooden houses are dotted around its premises, coming a variety of shapes and sizes. Some have multiple stories and others sprawl across the land. Some sit atop the land, some climb across trees, and others are hewn into the side of hills. Small footpaths wind between them all, bringing a sense of unity to the community of six or seven families.

Most of the members of those families are likely on other islands, working. Yet a few individuals remain in the central plaza. A few children, separate in the process of playing hide and seek. A young man, who's wrestling with a few chickens. And a teenager, strolling out of her house with a basket in hand and a song on her breath.

The latter pauses upon seeing you, curiosity shining in her eyes. "Huh, I don't remember seeing you around before. Are you visiting for the wishing wells? If ya want, I can give you a guide 'bout the islands, so you can get around easier while you're here. The magic powering them has got some rules."

"Otherwise, I wish you luck with gettin' your wish. Everyone around here has tried a few times, but it's quite difficult." She gives a soft sigh, even as she rises one hand in a thumbs up.
