(You are incredibly lucky, I have to say xD. I was about to decide out in the mega thread that you cannot start out with magic, but since I hadn't yet decided, I'll bend it so you can start with magic, but you have to only know a specific field of magic. Such as, fire, water, ice, earth, lightning, air, etc. So, if you choose one of those, you should be fine ;).)

The old woman gave a small shrug as she adjusted the cloth on your forehead. "Well, Ilamoor is a small human village established a dozen or so years ago. Really, we're not very much known. But I like it. It's quiet here. The surrounding lands, however, hold a bunch of unpredictable things. There's a desert, a lake, mountains, a river, a swamp, and a forest. And the grassland surrounding Ilamoor, of course."

The pixie narrowed her eyes at you slightly, her arms crossed across he chest. "Fine," she amended and cooled down a bit with a roll of her eyes. "Okay, what do you want from me?" she questioned, still sounding a bit irritated.

"Very good then, let's head toward the mountains."

She smiled at the dwarf girl and then headed out of town towards the mountains.

Malak was becoming a little irritated himself. He couldn't understand why Elysetta was acting so odd. Perhaps she was upset that people kept mistaking them as a couple. He would need to start keeping his distance a little more so that it would be more obvious to passersby that they were not married or betrothed.

"Well," he began, his brows staying furrowed, "I was wondering what your opinion on the situation was. Borgken has asked me to help retrieve his daughter from the other clan. I do not wish to get entangled in this feud, but I also feel as though it would be wrong not to do anything."

With a small shrug, Elysetta ran a hand down her somewhat messy braid. "Okay. I'm really not an expert. But I do know that dwarfs aren't very violent. This feud is probably not a war of weapons. Although they make weapons, they don't like to wield them unless for self-defense training. I don't see any harm in trying to help out," she told you.

Malak paced a little bit while Elysetta spoke. He was deep in thought, but also listening to every word she said. It didn't surprise him to learn that the dwarves were not inherently violent. Everyone they had met so far had been so friendly. He wondered what this feud could possibly be about.

"Well, then I should tell Borgken we will try and find his daughter," he said, turning around and walking back to the dwarf shop owner to tell him the news.

This time, Elysetta defiantly followed you to the back room where Borgken was. The dwarf looked up at you expectantly. "Well? Have you come to a decision?" he asked.

((Yeah, most of her backstory's pre-made and something I wanted to go with, but I wanted to tie in magic since you mentioned magic for humans and there weren't any magic users yet. xD; Now I see why.
I'll go with basic fire magic since it's the most useful for survival -- will I be able to learn more later? o: ))

"Ah, I see." Lisette studied the building's interior as Nalia spoke, getting a gist that she was in a safe haven. It reminded her of her old home. "Unpredictable? Is that...good or bad? Anything I should be aware of?" She adventured aimlessly until this point, and wanted to find some sort of a lead to something interesting...or at least know where not to go if she treasured her life for a longer adventure.

She pivoted, getting ready to stand. "Thank you for your kindness and looking after me for the time being, I really appreciate it."

Ruk gave a halfhearted shrug, while Aylen gasped in delight. "Oh, yes! I've never seen a human village!" she exclaimed.

You head towards the mountains as the sun begins to descend in the sky. You reach a beaten rocky path in the mountains soon enough, and find a glinting on the ground.

What do you wish to do?

a) Investigate it
b) Have one of your companions investigate it
c) Ignore it
d) Leave
e) Other

a) Investigate it

Curious, Julien leaned over the shiny something. "What's this?"
