Lowell Brichalles
"Wouldn't ask you to turn your blade on Arkaos when I can't even bring myself to do it." Lowell gave a nod of understanding to Phoenix, trusting her for the moment to not step into his fight.
He waved Erwen off with a chuckle as he steadied his sword blade as the approaching guards trying to weave through the crowd towards them.
"You know as well as I do, kid, the night's on my side. I'll find my way out. Going to be out of commission for a couple days after this, so it's still on you to make sure we got the coin to stay fed. Worry about yourself right now."

Being a Dark element had its advantages. Nicote quietly slipped through the shadows, until he could see the action. Now this was interesting.

Watching for a while, he wasn't surprised to see a werewolf on the run. If it'd been in Bildernia, he'd have just sent a curse the guy's way. But this was Arkaos. He couldn't relaly do that.

He vaguely recognized the other intruder. He'd seen the guy once, years ago. Plus the fact Phoenicia knew him....that was enough for Nicote to mentally pin him as most likely Bildernian.

Great. Just what he needed. Another headache.

Erwen scratched his head, not comprehending, "I don't usually worry about myself, you know-" he was cut off abruptly as Phoenix promptly dragged him away by the wrist.
"Coming through! Prisoner of war!" she yelled at the approaching guards. Erwen yelped and attempted to squirm away. He had a knife, sure, but he wasn't exactly going to stab her right now.
"Shut up and get out," she hissed as she shoved him outside unceremoniously.

"Might want to get out of the town while you're at it, don't care to have to go back to Grandfather and explain why we brought back one extra person. Bildernian jails are nightmares compared to everywhere else." Nicote added from behind both of them.

Phoenix jumped and almost smacked Nicote. Erwen took the chance to vanish into the night. "Oh, uh, greetings, Your Highness," she said, bowing awkwardly.

Nicote hid a smirk. "Long as your friend isn't causing too much trouble, let's not speak of this further, eh?" he winked. Turning to disappear back into the party room before anyone noticed, he added over his shoulder. "And I told you. We grew up together ,so if there's no delegates or anything around, just call me by my name. "Your Highness" makes it sound like I'm drunk." Nicote added, before walking off to find a nearby shadow. He couldn't quite teleport himself yet but he was close. Shadow-jumping would have to do for now.

(Is Phoen ever going to hear the end of this)

Now it was Phoenix's turn to scratch her head. "Oh, uh, thanks. Sorry, your... uh, Nicote. Oh, and you should probably... watch out for the werewolf?"

"I'm best friends with a werephoenix and a foxboy. I think i'll be fine." He shrugged. "Besides, I'll just use my abilities to get out of the way. And hopefuly not pass out or anything."

(oh god more curses would just make him stronger and.. angrier)
Lowell Brichalles
He threw two guards to the side, taking a strong mace hit to his shoulder. He was thankful his shoulder armor blocked most of the blow, but he felt the crunch of bone on his sword arm as it went limp with his now-dislocated shoulder.
The sword remained clutched in his hand as his electricity roared out of control with his searing pain. He was able to pull his way through the rest of the guards, filling the air with the scent of seared flesh and burning wood as he managed to pull himself outside, collapsing as he got himself out of view of the palace.
He reverted to human form as he passed out, a piece of his hair smoldering as the lightning magic over his body fizzled out.

Ziva Elain
Ziva shielded herself from the coursing electricity, pulling Armias over her shoulder as she looked over the carnage. She had lost sight of the wolf in all of the surge and in the hysteric state of her prince, she wasn't sure if following him was exactly the brightest idea.

(Dis a lot of Tea going on)

The guards hadn't followed him that far, but they were already searching the streets for him. They had direct orders to bring The Empress his body, preferably decapitated.
