Dwarfs are trained from a very young age how to fight and they typically need lots of exercise when they are young to turn them into hard-working dwarfs. I would not be able to keep up with her," she told you.

Ruk nodded again, still grinning. Slowly, he crept behind the beast. You found it surprising that he was able to make such little noise in his armor, but he was stealthy as a cat. He picked up a rock from the ground and threw it in the opposite direction. The beast perked up, snarled, and began to prowl towards where the rock had fallen. Ruk took this chance to strike. He crouched down, leapt at least ten or twenty feet in the air, remarkably, and bore down upon the beast's back. He stuck it with his sword, and the beast growled and began to try to shake him off.
(Battle mode is without options.)

You waited for Elysetta to make the first move, but she seemed frozen in her spot. Her eyes were wide and her face pale. Her expression matched that of a young child who had just realized that her parents' scary bedtime stories were not just stories. She didn't budge, only stared, paralyzed in fear, at the Veshka.
Shayd let out a snarl and leapt forwards towards her, but to your immense surprise, Asche knocked her down. "What in the name of Hades' underwear are you doing!?" Shayd screeched at him.
However, Asche held her down on the ground, his teeth bared in defiance. He briefly turned his head to you. "Run! I cannot hold her for long!" he commanded. "The ladder is still on the ground!"

*She nods* "I understand. I....I don't know anything about caring for children, and I am planning on going out and seeing what the world has to offer...is that such a life for a young dwarf? I mean, well, I guess she can come with me if she wants to...I don't know where else she can go."

Niala gave a small shrug. "I don't know everything about dwarfs, but I do believe that they explore dangerous caverns from when they're very young. They're trained not to fear. Young Ragna would probably even be of use to you if you decided to take her with you on your ventures," she replied.

She nods again "Ok, I will give her the option to travel with me then, or see if there is someone in town she would rather stay with, although, based on what I know, she may chose to go with me." She sighs softly, but smiles "It would be nice to have someone to travel with."

Malak's heart stopped and the color drained from his face as he took in Elysetta's expression and stunned demeanor. Since he had known her she had always seemed so fearless and full of fire. Seeing her so afraid was jarring and for a moment he stood stunned himself. There seemed to be no clear path before him.
When the female figure snarled and leapt for Elysetta, Malak regained his wits in a flash and immediately tried to fling himself between his companion and her assailant. He planned to face death without fear and without cowering, but when the other shadowy figure pinned his partner to the ground, Malak stared at the pair in confusion. He needed no further prompting, however. He quickly grabbed Elysetta by the arm and hauled her towards the ladder, eager to get both of them far away from this place.

Julien watched for a minute, observing the movements of both the beast and Ruk. Gripping his knife and swallowing his fear, he began to run around to the front of the beast. Catching its attention, he steeled himself, aimed the knife, and threw it. It began a clean arc through the air, straight toward the beast's eyes.

(Alright guys, I know it's been a while. I cannot accurately express how sorry I am for that x-x. I ran into some rough times, and then fest happened which, everyone knows, is a time blaster. Anyway, I'd like to get this game back up and running; I never had any intention to abandon it. I will be giving you all replies shortly c:.)
