d.) The mountains

Malak followed Elysetta towards the mountains. There was again, not much conversation between them,
but that was fine with him, as he simply continued to take in the sights around him.

The mountains were a cold, snowy place, very different from where you grew up. "I've never actually been here," Elysetta commented to you as the terrain changed and started growing uphill.

Very quickly, you notice a trail of blood drops among the fresh white blanket. Elysetta turned to you. "What say you, Malak Khaleel? Do we follow the creepy blood trail?" she asked.

What do you wish to do?

a) Say something
b) Follow the trail
c) Ignore it
d) Other

There were no words for how unprepared Malak was for the climate of the mountains. He had never even dreamed of seeing snow before, and he constantly kept trying to wrap his cloak more tightly around his body. He continued behind Elysetta, resiliently keeping pace with her.

The blood trail caught his eye, the red such a stark contrast to the white of the snow. Part of him hoped that whomever or whatever had been injured would have tried to find shelter, and perhaps if they followed the trail they would come upon the same shelter. There was danger in entering an unknown situation, however.

"I say creepy or not it would be remiss not to investigate," he said to her. He turned and began to...

b.) Follow the trail

"I knew there was a reason I liked you," Elysetta grinned, following behind you.

You follow the path until you reach what looks like an abandoned home, nestled into the cold snow around it. What do you wish to do?

a) Approach
b) Ignore it
c) Send Elysetta in
d) Have Elysetta look closer in her tiny pixie form
e) Leave
f) Other

"Oh...I see...so who have you been staying with? Do you know Niala? I bet she would be willing to watch out for you...and...I could maybe head north, see if I can find out what happened. You talk about big people, were they like humans or more like me?" She really hoped she could help this little girl and that her father wasn't hurt or dead or anything like that. She also hoped Niala would not mind watching out for her.

Malak nearly froze in his tracks upon hearing Elysetta's words, and ended up stumbling slightly in the snow, which he hoped didn't look to suspicious. His cheeks burned again, though in these conditions the warmth was welcome. They trudged alongside the trail until they came upon the abandoned house.

Malak observed it pensively, considering their options very carefully. He really wanted to get some place that was warmer, but there was not telling what the situation was inside. He glanced at Elysetta. He could ask her to go investigate, after all she could shrink down to a very small size, but he knew she was still injured from the battle with the beast and he did not want to put her in jeopardy.

"I guess we better go take a look," he said decisively...

a.) Approach

...making his way toward the house, hoping that nothing decided to attack them.

b) Attack the goblin

(ahhhh it's been a while >.<)

a) Agree to help the goblin

Hesitantly, Julien lowered his knife a little. "We'll help," he told the goblin. "Where should we go?"

Ragna's eyes widened slightly. "I've been staying here alone. My... my father told me not to trust anyone. I don't like this place," her eyes began to fill with tears.

You reach the house, Elysetta trailing behind you, and you find that there's no sign of life around. There was a hole in the wall, even, big enough for you to walk through and then some. However, you do see a small glinting inside of the house.

What do you wish to do?

a) Enter the abandoned home
b) Leave
c) Send Elysetta in
d) Say something
e) Other
