The twins were...somewhere. with everyone else. Because rim lost. And fest messes up ma brain again.

Jay rolled his eyes but flew farther up the stairs. The others had hunkered down to hide. He, however, found himself curious by the faint light difference coming from above. Wouldn't stairs normally disappear into shadows? This staircase seemed to get lighter at the top. "I think we should go up. Yes, we should go up now!" he added when the wolf pack that had been just behind them went streaking down the hall. Although the wolves seemed to pay them no attention and went down another bend in the hall, it was too close for comfort. If they were chasing Gray's howl still, then the other must be close indeed.

Mrs. Mouse turned back, realizing that the twins were lagging behind, even as the sound of paws on marble floors got nearer. They didn't have much time. "Looks like we're going to have to take our chances after all. Either we split up and run or we take a stand. Make your choices now!" As it was, the hall they'd been running down had almost reached its end and who knew what sort of room lay behind them.

"Stand."
"run."

"You both have to agree or one day you'll both end up running in opposite directions and never see each other again!" Mrs. Mouse exclaimed back. "Is that what you really want?" At least then some progress might be made between the twins bickering.

"We always do that." They replied in unison.

"Well, I'm holding my ground, whatever you guys choose. They most likely will chase after running things, thinking it is prey. Also, it might do some good to show that we're not just something to eat." Grey growled.

August clacked his bill in resolve. "It won't be easy to defend myself in this body, but I don't want to risk loosing track of you all. I'm staying." He decided.

"Well, we can work together to fend them off. The pack might respect one group that works together like they do, and might let us alone?" Grey suggested.

August fluttered up and onto Grey's back. "Right... Um, you don't mind if I stay up here though, do you?"
