You didn't seem to have any luck with that in the area, maby there were paterns and places with higher chance to meet the right one.

The hallway were preaty quiet until a deep growl echoed from the other side of it, soon followed by a few snapping sounds.

Maybe. Or maybe he was just brain dead. He took the two books wih him (prety sur eno rules agaisnt that, plus...better safe then sorry) and the key and went to his room.

Outside of yet another territory fight from the Number in the vent with another one, the walk there was preaty uneventfull.
