He opened the door, the overbearingly luxurious long hallway in front of them. It was dead silent. Gallagher himself found this odd, and placed his hands on the handles of his weapons. He didn't sense anyone, so clearly there was no one in the area. He took a quiet step, then another, beginning to silently walk down the hall.

Despite his anxiety about the prospect of a trap, Lowell even found his own sword to be quiet as he tailed behind.
No footsteps and no sounds nearby either. He found the whole situation to be eerie, momentarily thankful for the lack of combat needed to break in. If their luck would hold out, this mission would go off without a hitch.

He began walking towards the womans room. How he knew this? He wouldn't tell. He paused as he heard the sound of a vase shattering or flower plot shattering. Some type of thick porcelain material, and the voices of several maids. The sound came from the doors he was approaching. Strangely enough, there were no guards there either. Gallagher listened in on the conversation about 2 feet from the door.

" Your majesty, please calm down! " A maid said.

Lowell didn't know Diana's voice. But it was easy to tell it belonged to her. " Calm down? How the hell am I supposed to calm down when another assassin failed?! Again?! Everyday that girl draws closer to finding a fiance and producing an heir! "

" W-well maybe you should hire another one. "

" ...The hunting competition. According to my spies, shes planning to participate. We can strike her down then. "

" But your majesty, even 10 assassins aren't enough to take on the empress. "

" Thats why I will have my spies plant poison in her clothes on the day of the competition. It will weaken her immensely. Contact the assassin's guild and get me the best assassins there are. I don't care what the price is. "

" Yes, your majesty. "

He scoffed. Failure was never an option with him, but even he had his standards. This snake of a woman drew his ire enough for him to struggle to resist clawing the door down after her head.
He forced myself to focus on their next moves, trying to distract himself as he felt the sword pulse.

So poison? He hadn't heard of one being administered through clothing but he figured he wouldn't take any chances. If it was truly possible to meet these assassins head on, they'd need to make a move far in advance, wondering if there was some way to infiltrate this guild or intercept their payments.
He kept himself quiet as to not alert the royal or her servants to their presence.

(Understandable xd I'm doing math rn so my brain is kinda.....bleh)

" Use plant 4B and G2. "

" G2? But isn't that..."

" Yes. The infertility plant. If she doesn't die, then she won't be able to produce an heir. No child coming from the man she marries will be able to succeed the throne, and my son will become the heir. "

Gallagher tapped him, silently turning and walking back towards the greenhouse. They had gotten all the information they needed, and now what they needed to do is gather a part of said plants then find the counter for it. Wasn't that difficult.

"You know what we're looking for then?"
He asked quietly when they had cleared earshot.

" Not exactly. But the plants in the greenhouse have labels. " He said, approaching the door to the greenhouse.
