The thing was way too small to be a number, it took to your brain a few seconds to realise that what you were looking at was an eye replica taht was slowly creeping across the floor like a puppet on strings.

You notice that somthing was off in the area, outside of seeing a detached human body part creeping around it didn't feel compleatly real. As if you were not realy there to begin with.
