If they were honest that they were not part of the "group," they would have to explain themselves respectfully and kindly. It can be almost impossible to catch everyone and double-check whether they were in on it. It should be known that it was still incredibly hurtful and disappointing to see. But Actions often speak louder than words

But if there's was nothing. No jokes about crashing the economy that's exactly what these players got banned for?
It's a bit indistinguishable at this point and makes me want to just release everything instead of selling to be safe. No matter how many times I'm told I won't be banned for selling at what I think are fair prices if they are lower.
Better than expressing my opinion on a decision that has caused lots of discourse, the same way you have? Respectfully I disagree, I am just as entitled to my opinion as you are to yours, and I have been entirely civil and levelheaded throughout the discussion.
You are getting off-topic now. But, I will say their actions were not justifiable by any means. Many commenters are trying to press buttons from an outside perspective. You are trying to rationalize, and it is still more than okay to question, but at the end of the day, it is not your call or your feelings that were hurt. Just seems rather short-sided. This is not even about me at the end of the day other than that I care to try and rationalize with you.

They committed miss conduct and went against the game's agreements, or did you check that box willy-nilly without reading? Like most games you play online, there are rules to follow. And the creators make those rules so poking bears like creators will not go unnoticed. A very entitled way of thinking. smh
As someone who is on semi-hiatus (log in and check to make sure my pets are fed and look at news) this is both surprising and not so surprising to me.
When I was active, many of the players that I can determine were banned were kind and I am shocked they would be involved in something like this.
However, a couple of them I am less shocked by because, while they were kind to me, they just always came across to me as feeling 'superior' or as if the rules didn't apply to them.
Re: the privacy thing, one of the things that I feel people need to realize is that if you put it online, it isn't private any more in most cases. it sounds like some of the other players that were invited to be in this discord group got concerned and decided to take their concerns to the 'authorities', in this case Krin and Fai. Which, to use the diary analogy, would be like you showing your friend your diary where it says you want to harm/bully someone else, and go on and on about doing so. That removes it from being 'private' and puts it into 'maybe this is something that should be brought out into the open, because this can *harm* someone if this person is serious'.
Also @Xavion if you are still doing breeding projects and need some supplies, I might have them, I have a lot of breeding things from various festivals that I don't use as I don't breed, though many of them are account bound. Just PM me if you are interested in them, I will gladly toss them to you (or use them on a pet you supply) just to get rid of them and have them still be useful to someone.
As someone who was a part of this server, for a little bit, I can say that there are some people in there - or that ever were in there - that I never want to interact with again. There are some people that I believe deserve the ban they got, and deserve to stay banned. I am not going to mince words about that.
The thing is, though; not everybody who was banned did anything to deserve it - other than venting out frustrations that they never actually did anything about. This supposed planned attack on the economy was not even committed by someone in that server - and it was not committed in cahoots with anyone else in this server. As far as I am aware, and actually saw, it was one single person. One person who, again, is not even in the server in question. But you do not see any evidence of either - you just see things that people said out of frustration in a server they believed was private.
The people I am advocating for are the ones who got banned - without a dm, without ever getting a pm warning. Why? Because they never did anything wrong before - and all they did wrong now was being in the wrong place at the wrong time, supposedly.
I dont want to give any names - but there are three people in specific that I would stake my life for. Three people that are kinder than you can imagine, and that legitimately loved this game. Why are they gone, now? Because they vented?
They did not do anything. I know they did not do anything.
Edited because I am on mobile, and apparently quotation marks do not count as something that shows up, either. Go figure.
you make money from streaming because ads and partnerships and things the platofrm pays you for
not taking money from the games mouth
also maybe you can tell me because i dont understand but why woudl saying what others said put krin in danger he could just say "they said xyz" and scrub only the personl bit leaving the trest of the reaally small amount of context that would help make it more udnerstandable
I didn't say they were taking money from the site though, but still profiting from its existence while also sabotaging it is obviously not acceptable behaviour.
I don't understand what you're talking about. He already has done that. People are free to make up their own minds if they believe him or not. If user/s did post identifying information, he can't show us an uncensored screenshot without doxxing himself. If he posts (more, because there already is one) censored screenshots claiming that the censored text is identifying information, then what will that prove? None of us can verify whether or not it's true.
From what I've heard nobody had any warning.. they got a dm with a bunch of legal jargon and then woke up one day to find themselves banned and heartbroken by a community they gave so much to. The only ones I see being bullied here are those that can't defend themselves.
I mean... I'm sorry but the contents of the screenshots seem to contradict that. There are jokes about doubling down after receiving said PM, and the one I find particularly egregious is the one about 'not having to worry about a mole this time', bragging about avoiding a ban and calling themselves conspirators. It seems pretty clear-cut that it's repeated behaviour and that warnings were ignored. If there's some other way those comments can be interpreted, I can't see it.
I know there are two sides to every story, and do have some sympathy, I too would be very upset to be banned from any site I'd put a lot of effort into, but to me it's not adding up that there was no warning. And it seems that should be a pretty easily provable/disprovable thing.

I can't speak much for what the context around these particular screenshots, but given the things I've witnessed and experienced, I don't find this hard to believe at all.
I know of many individuals who have been forced to leave Sylestia because of harassment. I know of many more who don't interact with the overall community because they've experienced things like this. I know this because I still talk with several of them.
I've had times where I was genuinely afraid to interact with anyone from the community because of my experiences with some of the people in these screenshots. The paranoia of being harassed or bombarded is something I learned to live with over many months. I learned the hard way that you can't trust someone who is being kind to you, because they may have an ulterior motive.
As I've said in my previous statements to this group: The issue was never the ranting, the jokes, or the venting. The issue has always been when it got out of hand and left the server.
I personally witnessed several occasions of the venting jumping out of the server and into the Regional Chat. I've seen dozens of instances where discussions around trying to get people banned have occurred with this group--Just because they didn't like them or found the player annoying.
And when I no longer agreed with them, and when I no longer wanted to see it, I became a target to them.
I find it sad that things escalated to this point. I find it sad that people who did not need to be a part of this were dragged into it. I don't like that anyone had to be banned, because things never should have reached this point.
But I don't think there was anything else that could be done.

Some opinions do matter. Remember that. And sometimes, they can come off as insensitive and hurtful. Sometimes they are just from another perspective. Your process to rationalize and justify words and actions that are out of your control is coming off as irrational. This isn't Youtube. Just lumping yourself into something you know you probably should not. It is not as extreme as it looks. You make agreements when you play games; could you make sure to read them? Can you help others to defend themselves from this harmful and hostile crowd? If you feel bad for them, that is fine, but they made their choices and actions clear and known.

This is what worries me. I have ZERO problems with people getting banned over the doxing and other harassment, and certainly not about the admins being warned about it. SWATTING IS ATTEMPTED MURDER. PEOPLE HAVE DIED. SInce we're doing comparisons, this is like some kid "joking" they'll shoot the teacher in a class chat, and getting reported. they *should* get reported.
But the whole economy thing? As I understand, lots of people joked about tanking the economy and then one or two people started actually doing it? If there are folks who got banned only for partecipating in that specific joke, *before* they took any action on site, that seems premature. I'd say those people should get a second chance but... yeah I doubt they'd want to come back at this point. What's done is done.
