This is too bad. I've never been involved with the offsite Sylestia community, and now I'm glad I didn't.

I've been playing for about 5 years now, and have noticed prices going down, some to the point of being ridiculous (6-vis pets and offspring of majestic themes selling publicly for 1g for example). I just assumed that they were either accidents (meant to give it to a specific person) or people being nice. And I'm 100% sure that most of them probably were and are.

It really sucks that any of that was on purpose. I've lowered my prices quite a bit since I first joined the game, to keep up with the economy. (I still don't plan on increasing them unless something massive changes).

I know that I've asked for advice on pricing, and now I'm wondering if that was legitimate (I don't know if any of the banned players responded, and I don't remember if it was on a forum or just a chat). I've always made my offers to buy pets based off what I generally see in advanced search, and now I wonder if I was severely underpaying people.

I enjoy this game, and think it's sad that people tried to hurt the experience of other players, not to mention the targeted harassment/death threats (I know pretty much nothing about it besides what's been shared in this thread, so I'm not speaking specifically on it. But it's 100% the worst part of this in my opinion). This was a good and important call. Thank you for keeping us all safe.




Also, I noticed that the Twitter account was specifically mentioned. There's also 2 Tumblr accounts (one unused since 2017, with the disclaimer it isn't official, and one that is just empty), so it may be useful to make an official one there.

Edit: added "/death threats" because I realized that it wasn't obvious that I was including that under harassment

I feel ignored and that is not helping my impulse to disappear from here.

I read your original response here (I read through pretty much everything that was long and thoughtful-looking), and got the impression you didn't want responses. Is it okay if I do quote/respond? Because I do think you brought up some VERY important points.

For me, Google thinks I still live in Florida and only has info from when I had a myspace. Even my phone's area code goes to a different state.

It makes sense to block that out...in case anyone else still here, would use that to their own callous, malicious intent.

is the player said " his address is 123 main st " he could show the first part showing they said his address. the 123 main st could be blocked. if they said " here i can dm it to you " that wouldnt need to be blocked becuase that isn't actually the info.

This thing is just adding to my depression, can it just stop please?

I don't think it needs to be dissected and stared at anymore.. its like a train wreck.
Can we maybe just appreciate what people we still have, there seems to be enough people still playing?
