Update time!

Things are moving along now. In the past 24 hours, quite a lot has progressed in regards to the Nytekrie Revamp.

Firstly, we have 100% finished with their artwork. Barring the discovery of any issues we missed, this aspect of the Revamp is completely finished.

Secondly, we have finished our first pass of adjusting their Themed designs. Once the Revamp actually goes live and the artwork switches over, we will be making a separate announcement thread specifically regarding their Themed designs. As we did with the Lupora, we will be asking for feedback on what we've tweaked and after a week or two of collecting feedback, we will make final adjustments and then update all of their Themed designs.

Additionally, I have mostly finished fleshing out the logic for the Revamp process itself. In other words, how a current Nytekrie morphs into the new Nytekrie despite wildly different Traits and all that fun stuff. Even better, I have created a handy little tool that I have made publicly available!



Just simply visit any Nytekrie's profile page and click that link and you will then be taken to a page that looks something like this:



The page is pretty self explanatory and pretty much goes over all the little tidbits of what it's showcasing. But basically, it just let's you see what your current Nytekrie will be eligible for when selecting its new Traits post Revamp.

From my limited testing so far, I believe it is doing everything correctly. But if you see any oddities, please let me know so that I can take a look.


So What's Next?

So, basically, the last thing that I now have to do is update the Re-Generator to now understand all of these new options. As those of you, who have been here for previous Revamps, know, they never worked this way. So I have to update the Re-Generator to basically understand the new mechanics. Once I am finished with this step, I can then schedule the actual downtime for the Revamp to take place.

So either way, we are very close to the end! I will post new updates as soon as I have them.

Will colors be up for revamping or not because of the economy concerns? I'm not sure if it was in the posts or not, could've missed it. Either way, really excited for this! Nytes weren't my favorite, but they'be moved up a few notches. :)

On the first post I believe it said any pet that triggers any regen will be able to regen all colours-since with all the changes only being able to change one or two colours would mess a lot of things up.

does image links not updating mean that old bookmarks will stay live with the old look? or will they be broken after?
