I get my sketchbook and pencil, sketching down an almost identical replica of the bead. Satisfied with the drawing, I drop the bead into a box and push it under my bed.

Its getting quite late in the day. Dinner shoyld be ready soon, and you cna hear one of your parents downstairs cooking

Well since you're new I'm going to quickly explain some things about how stuff works around here: If there's a Marker or a Powell involved, do as told and don't quesiton it unless you know the folks involved. Definitely don't question the logic if it involves the Marker Twins, -they know how to get revenge and make it hurt in more ways then you think. Don't stick your nose where you aren't welcome and definitely don't mess with the social groups, they don't particularly take much fondness about that. And never pet any of the cats you see wandering around, good chance of them belonding to the Twins and I swear those two teach them to attack on sight."
"Mhm," said Leah with a roll of her eyes, not really paying attention to what the girl was saying. "Marker, logic, nose, cats, attack, whatever. Anything else you wanted to get out?"

They cheerfully greet you. The group nearest you has 4 girls, a girl wiht wavy blond hair and bright blue eyes (around 14-ish) who seems to be wearing slightly nicer clothes then the rest, a redhead with a ponytail and a mischievious glint in her eye (14ish), a brunneette who's dyed purple streaks in her hair and definiteoly some kind of jock (15ish), and a dakr-skinned girl with curly black hair and a very floral outfit.
"You must be Leah right?" The blonde asks. "I'm Nani, that's Kari, Orkhanna, and Laurel."
"Nani, I keep telling you it's Orkha, why does eveyrone keep using my full name?" Orkhanna protests.
"Becuase an orca is an animal and you'l lstart cracking fish jokes if we do." Laurel sighs. "So Leah, got any annoying siblings?"
(lol and i misplaced ur original form qoute somewhere and idk where which is terryfing XD)

"Don't ask me, my sister's named Caterina and our brother's named Owenoid. Nani's the lucky one, at least she and most of her sbilings got "normalish" names." Orkha does air qoutes at that.
"Personally, I think it's my father and your mom, I'm pretty sure it's a family thing to have the weirdest names possible that are still technically legal." Nani points out.
"Better get used to the weird names aroudn here, it's not just a Marker family tree thing it's an "half the people who attend the Academy" thing." Kari corrects. "Or, that's how I see it anyways. So Leah, I'm guessing you're headed for the public school?"
