rip. (literally I guess?) tbh I think the writing's become convoluted and now people are overhyping, but that's just me x)

i mean it probably doesn't help that i read like the first 50 chapters and then started reading from like the middle of the series and was super duper confused but I'm too lazy to fill in the missing chapters so rip

Yeah that probably doesn't help much lol (s t a r t f r o m t h e b e g i n n i n g h h h h h), chug Gatorade like a psycho (5 bottles should do it) then rewatch Attack on Titan from the very beginning (I mean watching it is way easier and way more funsies, but you do you lol) and chug popcorn :D

not sure who to ping, but does anyone have any good ways/examples on how to write intoxicated characters? i'm getting tired of using the old "the world swayed beneath his feet, and he stumbled a bit. his thoughts are swimming, there one second and gone the next. he feels like he's walking on clouds, prepared to puke at any moment" i've used it far too many times and it's kind of getting old :/

not to mention, when ever they drink something alcoholic or just plain strong, i always use "it burns as it goes down, leaving a cold feeling in the back of their throat" and i feel like that's getting old to. idk, just looking for a few tips for the er... book i'm writing

(ok i'm not going to lie it's fanfiction.)

Not sure if it's too late, but I'm always available to help with writing!
I'd compare drunkenness to the feeling you get when you're really, really tired - words don't come out right and everything feels a thousand miles away, like you're moving underwater, etc. it can be different sensations for different people - some may get irrational giggly, others may get depressed or angry.
(ofc the best teacher is experience but please don't drink yourself to drunkenness for the sake of a fanfic x)
a good way to get better at writing with alcohol is reading books with apt descriptions. or watching movie scenes and transcribing them.
hope this helped! =)

Guess who's back! Sorry I couldn't bother you guys weekly. x) been busy with writing and comics and art and ye

Shameless self-plug if you want to check out my novel comicization/manga/graphic novel what have you hehehe

Anyhow! What is a piece of literature (or media) you feel has greatly influenced your writing? One that inspired you personally?

Mine are mostly manga because for some reason they just have great stories and relatable characters (putting all supernatural/fantasy nonsense aside of course). Some other series that have definitely inspired me are the inheritance cycle, as well as pretty much anything by Dan Brown (I highly recommend Origin) and James Patterson.
