After talking with some people in Region Chat and noting the increased number of Regular Fertilizer Bags being found in the Spring Festival zone, I was thinking it might be useful to have the option of converting 100 Lesser Fertilizers to 1 Exceptional Fertilizer for a slight discounted price.
For example, it costs 750k to convert 100 Lesser Fertilizers to 10 Greater Fertilizers and then to convert those 10 Greaters to 1 Exceptional Fertilizer. Perhaps it could cost 500k to convert Lessers to Exceptional? Maybe too low, just ballparking.
I know how much we need gold sinks, but this seems to make more sense with the high fertilizer rates, and will potentially consume MORE gold because of how many Lesser Fertilizers are currently out there this early in fest. You couldn't convert Greaters into Lessers to take advantage of the discount so there will still be people converting their Lesser Fertilizer into Greater Fertilizers.
The only downside I can see is that the increase in Exceptional Fertilizer might decrease their value, but I think in the long run its still a viable gold sink AND one that will make many people quite happy. :)

I really hope we could also get the option to convert by using 2,500 decorated eggs instead for all who cannot afford this

Lesser to greater: 500 eggs
Greater to Exceptional: 2,500 eggs

I'd support Britter's suggestion very much so....there is a LOT of fertilizer this fest, not as much gold at least on my side of the fence :)

I definitely like the gold option. Though I think Britters is right when she said 500k is maybe low

I really like this idea. I have so many lessers that I'll never use as I mainly want the higher tiers. Would love to have this as an option.
