You fall into an uneasy sleep, but luckily the next morning you find yourself back to your old self again. You must have beaten the poison back in your sleep.

Sunlight filters into the cave, and the comforting-dry warmth is only the start of how hot it is outside. But the first thing you notice is that you left hoofprints last night in the soft riverbed. But that isn't the main problem - yours aren't the only tracks there. Large footprints, heavy and widely spaced, run all the way down the dried riverbed to the burbling river downstream.

Slightly freaked out Delirious stands up and wanders out of the cave, if something or someone was wandering about she might want to get a bit of information on them. Maybe they knew of something interesting in the area that she could find. She carefully follows them making sure to keep glancing up every few seconds.

It looks like a caravan - six wagons are being drawn by large horses. It seems to be just Dwarves, as far as you can see, driving the carts. There could be others inside but you can't see them.

On further inspection, you can see a Dwarf child is sitting on the roof of one of the wagons, looking at the sky. He turns in your direction.

Whatever this large creature was, it must have carried on through the river. The footprints lead right to where the river runs. The water it's flowing that fast, so you could follow after it.

The sun beats down, hot and dry. Walking along the river would keep you cool and give you access to water. But if it gets any deeper or the current stronger further downriver, it may cause problems. The river is deep into the earth, so the banks will be impossible to climb up.

He chuckles and darts off without warning, thumping away up the street at a surprising speed.

All of the others are asleep - though you see Shootingstar twitch slightly as you near.

Numbat turns, a smile on his face. "Fish would be fine! I take it hunting didn't prove to turn out well?"

"I was very close," I give him a piece of fish, "can you start a controled fire to cook the fish?"

This might be the death of me, but I'm kinda intrigued.

Delirious, intrigued by the creatures wandering patterns, decides to follow it into the water. She tells herself that if the water gets too deep she will try and go back to this point and continue up through the forest.
